This past week (6/30-7/6)has been rough in terms of mental health, but I’ve been chipping away at my backlog on the painting desk, corrected the base sizes for some of my Necrons thanks to base converters, started The High Kahl’s Oath, and watched some painting videos. #hobbystreak days 83 - 88.

My L5R game was cancelled tonight (6/30), but i still got some prep work for it done, and I finished the Warhammer 40,000 novel Krieg. #hobbystreak day82

Today (6/28) I ran my Mage: the Awakening TTRPG game for the first time in months. Summer is always dodgy when it comes to scheduling that game, but my players hit a point in today’s session and ran with it. Now they just have to get out of the Hedge. 😇 #hobbystreak day 80.

This past three days (6/25-27) were spent painting. I nearly ruined the second batch of Inquisitorial Agents, but they’re finally done. Did a test Lychguard with a base adaptor to change the original 25mm base to a 32mm, and painted a test model for a Nemesis Claw Kill Team! #hobbystreak days 77-79.

Last Sunday (6/22) saw me fiddling with more of the projects on my desk, while yesterday (6/23) I ran my L5R game; the PCs had their first combat. Today (6/24) an injured shoulder meant all I could do was watch a few tutorials on the Duncan Rhodes Painting Academy website. #hobbystreak days 74-76

The past week (6/16-6/21) has been jumping from one painting batch to another, reading White Dwarf, and watching YouTube tutorials. Progress made, but need to knuckle down and focus a bit! #hobbystreak days 68-73.

Today (6/15) I did a smidge more work in my Wild Hunt Sergeant, tried to matte varnishes but i think the varnish was way older than I thought, as she came out shiny. Also used enamels on my second batch on Inquisition models, definitely need more practice with that. #hobbystreak day 67

Yesterday and today (6/13 and 6/14) I worked on my test model for my female Astartes project, the Wild Hunt Chapter. Went with a grimdark aesthetic and i really like her. Learned a few lessons, too! #hobbystreak days 65 & 66

Today (6/12) I finished the four Corpse Grinder Cult gangers for Necromunda, slapped decals on some more models, and primed a test mini for my female Astartes project. All this, and therapy too! #hobbystreak day 64

Monday and Tuesday (6/9 and 6/10) were spent with the new Space Wolf Codex and some hobby YouTube, along with pushing done paint. Yesterday (6/11) was Boarding Actions with my gaming group; we did a 4-way battle and my Necrons got penned in by Deathwing Knights! #hobbystreak days 61, 62, and 63

Friday and Saturday (6/6 & 6/7) was spent reading L5R novellas and slapping paint on the Corpse Grinder Cults models. Yesterday(6/8) was Space Wolves! I grabbed the new army box and cracked it open to get to the codex. #hobbystreak days 58, 59, and 60

Today (6/5) I ran my Klingon game for the Star Trek Adventures 2nd Ed TTRPG and did more work in the Corpse Grinder Cults. Bit of an odd mix, I know. #hobbystreak day 57

The past two days (5/31 & 6/1) were spent reading the Daidoji Shin books 1 & 2. Spilled Sigvar Burgundy Contrast Paint on my hobby desk and after cleaning that up, I’m a little skittish about painting at the moment. #hobbystreak days 52 &

I had limited hobby time today (5/30) due to a medical appointment and my niece’s high school graduation, but I started rereading an L5R novel, Poison River, the first in the Daidoji Shin Mystery series. #hobbystreak day 51 #l5r

Today (5/29) I finished basing 6 Quar for my home-brewed Coftyran Northern Freeholds. I used Geek Gaming Scenics Wasteland Soil over a layer of ProAcryl’s Dark Earth basing material. I have to say, while I like ProAcryl paints & tools, their basing pastes are not great at all. #hobbystreak day 50

Today (5/28) my hobby time got consumed when I noticed my bigger paint rack/spinner was leaning forward and very wobbly. Had to pull off all those paints to disassemble the spinner and try to find the problem-I needed to retighten the central shaft-which is on top of the thing. #hobbystreak day 49

This Monday and Tuesday (5/26 and 5/27) was a mix of L5R and Quar. Since Monday was Memorial Day in the USA, I had a day to paint Quar and work and then run the first full session for our new Monday campaign,m. Tuesday I got to finish up more Quar; just basing left. #hobbystreak days 46 and 47

This past weekend (5/24 and 5/25) was a bit busy, but managed to read all of White Dwarf 510. Also a bit of hobby YouTube. #hobbystreak days 45 and 46

Thursday and Friday (5/22 and 5/23) were spent painting more Quar, watching some YouTube painting tutorials, and reading White Dwarf; finishing 509 and starting 510, i am a bit behind! #hobbystreak days 43 and 44

Tuesday and Wednesday (5/20 and 5/21) were spent painting more Quar and purchasing and assembling some Thousand Sons for Kill Team. Plan on a simple (as possible) color scheme for the Rubricae. #quar #hobbystreak days 41 and 42
