It's going to stop giving Bezos money that he then uses for nefarious purposes, including but not limited to actively undercutting small enterprises to put them out of businesses?

There are plenty of people buying piles of non-essentials from amazon. Let's start with that.

Subscriptions are the devil's work. I was never much of a subscriber to begin with, but now I'm an enthusiastic boycotter of... practically everything.

Switching away from my gmail address (that's some work, so consider it a journey). I don't use Google Maps. I don't sign in to youtube, and I make sure YT history is turned off, I use DuckDuckGo instead of Google search, I use every possible privacy setting, I block trackers, etc etc etc.

I believe they make portable chargers - the EV version of a gas can.

They can, they're just choosing not to.

Same - it's been several years since I've used amazon, as well as many other of the bad actors. My project now is jealously guarding my data - de-googling my life, and such.

Yes, and guess what? There will be a mysterious hold up in issuing passports, and another mysterious hold up with the USPS delivering them.

I was quite happy with my 1st Gen SE and only let it go for the same reason. Found a second hand 13 mini for now, though I think my next phone will be a "FairPhone," which is slowly making its way to the US.

Proton Mail. I'm currently weaning off of Gmail also. (It's a process, but well worth it!)

Where is this place? (Quick internet search not revealing much.)
My name is the same, but I totally get the widespread difficulties this would present!

I don't understand. You had a passport and couldn't use it to vote? What is the passport registry, exactly?
And if you can't use a passport, then... some folks can't use anything. (Which is, of course, the point.)

If one has the resources, having both is good. When one expires and is trapped in renewal-limbo, you have the other. (For proof, but not for air travel.)

PS - Guess what comes after the SAVE Act.
Passport processing and USPS delivery delays. Bet those delays last until at least... 2027.

I have noticed that the cases listed have links with details. Whether or not they are factual, I do not know, though I suspect they aren't fabricating data out of thin air, just spinning it. (Having to click around to discover this is data since 1982 being one example of spin.)
