Without extension, the 90-day emergency legislation that went into effect on July 7 expired earlier this month.
A tidbit: The D.C. Council will be holding a public roundtable on the summer juvenile curfew on October 30 at 10:30 a.m. This comes after a push to extend the curfew into the fall faltered in the council earlier this month over concerns the public had not weighed in.

President Trump’s reinstatement of capital punishment is certain to run into obstacles here, @maustermule.bsky.social writes — namely the city’s residents.
Russell Vought's sadistic threat to kill projects in blue states will blow back on GOP. One getting defunded is reportedly a huge hydrogen project in the northwest that would also serve Montana. Its GOP governor has hailed it as a big job creator. Oops.
