Credit where credit is due, I enjoyed Wizards & Warriors X moreso than W&W II, but it I still think it misses the identity the first game had. X has more linear level design with a brutal difficulty curve (the amount of jumps that are barely possible is pretty nuts). It's tough to recommend this one

Game #32: Wizards & Warriors X: Fortress of Fear
Developer/Publisher: Rare/Acclaim
Release Year: 1990
Played On: Game Boy*
And btw, if that wasn't crazy enough, the song for SF2's Sky-Hi Coliseum got a remix in SFLC too, even though Sky-Hi Coliseum itself is completely removed from the game.

Below is the Japanese version. Capcom going out of their way to make two different songs that pace the synths differently specifically so that you can sing along in both languages is bonkers and I love it.

TIL that Star Force Legacy Collection's remix of Sonia's version of Shooting Star from SF3 actually has two versions, one for English and one for Japanese, specifically so that the synths line up differently for the differently paced lyrics between the languages!

That said, a few achievements were still irrititating. Getting Star Chance Mode in SF3 was pure luck and took a while, and getting a counter 5 times in one battle is pretty difficult since most enemies will die before you get the chance to do that. I ended up getting that one on Club Strong R.
The Awards tab in Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection. Highlighted is "Blast Off 1", with a description that says "Star Force: Defeat a rampaging FM-ian in a truck" with a picture of Taurus Fire. There are 40 Awards in total.
As mentioned yesterday, I finished up with Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, and that also means I got all 40 achievements ("Awards" in-game). Overall, this was significantly less frustrating than BNLC's two volumes, especially because of the encounter toggles.
I'm so thrilled that Mega Man Star Force's very first encore release on modern consoles is this good, and I think $40 for seven versions/three games, especially RPGs this good, is an absolute steal. Please play these games; you won't regret it. WAVE CHANGE! ON THE AIR!
I think SFLC sets a new gold standard for retro collections with this level of bonus features, the amount of care put in to translate these touch screen heavy games to button controls for modern consoles, and ability to appeal to both newcomers and veterans. I hope other retro collections take note.
The amount of new features and accessibility options is so well balanced to appeal to both newcomers and veterans that I truly think anyone can enjoy these three games, even if it is your very first RPG. Whether you just play the main stories or go for 100%, I think this collection is for you.
Replaying these games, i'm reminded of just how well Mega Man Star Force has aged. These stories touch on very real topics like depression and betrayal in a way that I feel very few kids media effectively does. The battle system is just as fast-paced, frantic, and fun as I remembered it.
Capcom shot for the moon with SFLC and landed among the stars. This is the best Legacy Collection of them all, with a bevy of new features that make these games even more enjoyable, from the encounter toggles to the inclusion of all of the download cards, the return of online battles, and more!

This is why Iβve started to prefer ridership per route mile instead of modeshare (which often only encompasses work trips) as my preference for per capita measurement of transit ridership.
Some summer trips on the 319 even extend as far south as Cape May, the southernmost point in the state. I believe that costs almost $60 one way? (aka a Switch 1 game's cost lol)
A crazy fact: There is an NJ Transit Bus where the one-way fare actually costs more than Rhythm Heaven Groove: that being the 319 ($46.15).
Why? This fare is from New York - Port Authority Bus Terminal to Atlantic City, you travel through most of Jersey at that point!
In general, Capcom is top-tier at localization. There's an NPC in Mega Man Star Force 2 named Alec Tribec, and not only is his sidequest a quiz, but Mega even questions if he's "in Jeopardy" at one point during an entirely different sidequest π
Same thing as Hello, Mario. This is a toy for very young kids based on the interactable Mario face from Mario 64 only this time it stars Yoshi.
Game #31: Hello, Yoshi!

Already played these three via Namco Museum Archives. Mendel Palace is a surprisingly fun puzzle game but youβre much better off playing the Arcade versions of Pac-Man and Tower of Druaga (and mostly Pac-Manβ¦I donβt like Tower of Druaga sadly)
(Yes this is a repost of a joke from my old Twitter account, but I suddenly remembered this joke today and felt the need to repost it on a better platform lol)
A recreation of the first area of World 1-1 from Super Mario Bros., but typed up in a word processing tool
Super Mario World? No! Super Mario WORD!
If you see this, repost with a character from space. π

A screenshot from Mega Man Star Force. Geo is about to collect a Gold Mystery Wave, which only has a 1 in 64 chance of spawning (~2%).
It is a good day when this happens
The 50th Anniversary Metrobus on the D30 towards Fort Totten.
The 50th Anniversary Metrorail train on the Red Line towards Shady Grove.
50 Years of Metro π· π π
A Metrobus, numbered 7272 with "wmata.com" on its side, is parked at a bus stop next to a sidewalk. A man is exiting the bus, and a bus stop shelter with an advertisement labeled "visio" stands nearby.
