Gobert was awesome last night, both on-ball and zoning on the weakside.
Honestly, he's pretty consistently been a great defender in the playoffs (aside from a few plays in space vs elite creators). It's his offense that's typically been a problem.

It's wild that the Knicks' rise over the past few yrs has led to a whitewashing of James Dolan from a lot of NYK fans. Dolan was, and continues to be, an outlier-terrible person.
To take this even further, the Hornets had the pt differential of a 53.2 win team. That 9.2 gm underperformance was more than twice as much as the second-underperforming team (NOP).
Like I always say, this team's built for June, not April (can't prove me wrong)
Oscar Schmidt was the first great player I ever saw who wasn't in the US. His game blew (and expanded) my mind, and I was always grateful for that.
Ladies and gentlemen... the weekend. (also: you are important and are not alone 🧡)
Fair point - I wouldn't bet against him giving 15 solid mins
My ongoing condolences, @btoporek.bsky.social
No Sixers team without either Wilt Chamberlain or Julius Erving has ever beaten the Celtics in a playoff series . . . Neither is expected to be available for Game 1 on Sunday . . .
Dammit, Sixers' bad injury luck strikes again
I fell in love with the girl at the cat show
She said, "meow?" and I told her that I didn't know
If so, you might be entitled to compensation. Call the legal firm of Gyokeres and Zubi today
Then retroactively give him a flagrant, not a suspension.
Because I don't think it would have been an ejection on the spot. He was falling down already, so while there's no question he tripped him, I think it would've been called an F1.
He's focusing on the things that matter
On LaMelo / Bam:
- Should have been a flagrant on the court. Bad miss by the refs to not at least stop + review it, and it obviously had a big effect on the game
- NBA shouldn't compound that error by suspending LaMelo. It's done. A suspension in a do-or-die game is way overkill
No / no. Should have been a flagrant on the court. It sucks that they missed it, but they shouldn't compound that error by suspending him
I'm googling "who's the most Patrick Williams-like prospect in this draft" as we speak
A do-or-die game and we're the only game on? How do y'all deal with this pressure?! I ain't built for this #hornets
Receipts or it didn't happen
Make it 4/4
“Talent wise you can put us up against a lot of people” -Zach Lavine on the kings
We did put you up against a lot of people, Zach. 82 times. It didn't go great!
The head tap that Q-Rich + Darius Miles perfected might still be my favorite NBA celebration of all time
Oof, I'm sweating just thinking about it
OKC would have bottom-5 shot creation w/o Shai. I'll buy still having an elite D, so we're around .500.
Surviving for a bit w/o SGA has the element of surprise. Not quite the same as 82 gms of Cason Wallace trying to figure out what the hell to do w 5 on the shot clock.
Other than maybe Bill Walton, I'm not sure anyone in NBA history has had a higher combo of preposterous talent + horrific injury luck than Embiid
There are bad GMs, and then there's Arturas Karnisovas. The worst decision-maker in the league was way overdue to get fired:

Having 10 teams already eliminated from even the play-in is just a killer...
Nine NBA games last night. Avg margin of victory: 24.4 pts 😳
Not sure if the league has ever had a worse regular season day.
