MARYLAND has 136,837 Plug-In Vehicles registered as of May 31, 2025. Just 1,820 new registrations in May 2025. That’s well below the 3,100 added in May 2024 and the 2,169 in May 2023. April growth was also down year-over-year. Will continue to monitor these trends.

In the past, JD Power partnered with PlugShare for their “US Electric Vehicle Experience, Public Charging Study.“ I just wonder if that is still the case and is it based on driver surveys rather than data from the chargers. I put more weight on the latter.

More specifically, I guess what I am asking is what was their methodology and who performed the data collection and analysis? I read the article by Hannah Lutz and did not see that information covered. Bill, of course, is Loren’s colleague at Paren. They are the gold standard in my opinion. ⭐️
