Doing some work outlining a future book today, telling the story of a background relationship in book one. I hope I can do these characters justice, because their story needs to be told.

Hockey culture needs to change. My silly little stories won't fix it, but tackling it is part of the realism I'm trying to maintain in my universe. I doubt we'll ever see an integrated hockey league in the real world, so the IIHL will have to suffice.

Lots of discourse about the misogyny embedded in hockey culture over the last few days. This is something I've had to face and touch on in my setting. Yes, my in-universe league is integrated, but sadly, sexism still exists. My main character struggles with external (and internal) misogyny.
