He is annoyed. Winter is coming, but these butterflies are attracted to his warm body instead of migrating.

Medieval setting. Everyday he jogs to the river/stream and brings water back to his shop. If he fancies someone, he will make an extra trip to bring water to that person's house to share, as a way of showing his affection.
