I have a thing where I get 3/4 the way through most games and then tend to move on. I feel like I’m approaching that with Hollow Knight. It doesn’t help the boss fights are exhausting (for me). Great game though, even if I’m too dumb to follow the story.

Annnnnd already got in trouble. The last person left the windshield wipers on and I tried to turn them off and got a talkin’ to by @waymo.bsky.social support (who was very nice and understanding).

Heading home from our trip to MSP. Glad our trip overlapped with the #mnstatefair. I enjoyed the exhibition halls the most — especially the art and robotics exhibits. They also had a combine simulator!

Interestingly (to me, anyways) if I ask it how I align (or not) with a specific politician it stops and pivots towards broad stroke philosophical comparisons — actively trying not to endorse a specific candidate.

I appreciate that it seems to fairly well describe my politics, but also is very strong trying not to endorse / sway them.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, it’s mostly accurate — minus some of the things I’ve looked up / discussed on behalf of others.

Sad to see Sim City for iPad is micro transaction hell. Pocket City 2 seems to be his speed though. Maybe in a year or two he can check out Skylines.

I’ve been happy with my Ecobee. The multi room sensors are great. Only thing I don’t like is their room sensors have trouble going through a bunch of walls.

Mike Waltz Left His Venmo Friends List Public A WIRED review shows national security adviser Mike Waltz, White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, and other top officials left sensitive information exposed via Venmo—until WIRED asked about it.

The social aspect of Venmo is completely unnecessary and why it’s always my last choice. They even tuck the setting to hide friends away which feels a bit scummy.

Deviating from focaccia this week and tried my hand at baking a loaf of sandwich bread this afternoon. Unless I count pizza or challah, this is the first bread I’ve made where I’ve had to actually shape the dough.
