Great keynote talk by @shanedbergin.bsky.social at #vicephec25 on trust in science

I promised some #ViCEPHEC / #ViCEPHEC25 people I'd dump a load of this in a folder. It's on an as-is basis. I'll work on curating and making it better later.

The research ambassadors for Day 1
Getting busy at Dublin Maker
You’ll find us upstairs
We need more fliers
After presenting the feedback from our project at the Variety in Chem Ed & Physics HigherEd conference in Liverpool this week, we’ve collected a LOT more at @dublinmaker.bsky.social! Our research ambassadors are engaging with hundreds, while I cut up fliers #DublinMaker #VicePhec25 #ChemEd #SciComm
Day 2 highlights at #ViCEPHEC25 included the whole Lab Design session (shoutouts to @annajkirkham.bsky.social, Tyler Hughes, Gina Washbourn, Ed Breeds & chair @drlinneasoler.bsky.social). Loved the desire to understand student perspective to help improve individual and collective experience.

Privileged today to host the inaugural Talking Science debate @vicephec.bsky.social where we debated skills and content in UG chem degrees, the role of greater standardisation of degrees and how HEIs could help to ensure a healthy pipeline of applicants. What a fabulous energetic audience!
Fantastic #VICEPHEC keynotes from Jacqui Robson yesterday, Shane Bergin and especially my colleague Julie Hyde (I am biased!) today. Really interesting stuff ranging from public trust in science to the career impact of GTA programmes.
Aidan and Ben stood in front of Ben's evaluation board: Evaluating Online Smart Worksheets as an Assessment in Practical Chemistry Courses.
Rachel's presentation: Warning: these Two-Pr-Laboratory Engagement Hacks May Cause Learning.

Rachel's presentation: Interactive, Real-Time Feedback Worksheets.
Final day at #ViCEPHEC2025! 🌟
We caught up with educators Dr Schwartz-Narbonne from @sheffieldhallamuni.bsky.social & Dr Arenas from @edinburgh-uni.bsky.social, who are advancing science education by using our Smart Worksheets to increase student success!

Really nice talk on supporting ND students in chemistry labs and a good opportunity to share resources #vicephec25
What are your resources?
Here at the start of #VICEPHEC 2025 and big kudos to @liverpooluni.bsky.social for a very well organised setup, especially the check-in and accommodations. Looking forward to the speakers, especially tomorrow's keynote from my colleague Julie Hyde.

Good morning. We are sorry to have missed you at the desk earlier, and are keen to talk so that we can find a way forward. Cate and Charlie are both well-placed to discuss the dinner seating.
Some surprise sunshine to greet me the afternoon before the @vicephec.bsky.social conference begins in Liverpool!
For those arriving for satellite activities, #ViCEPHEC25 is just two weeks away. If you haven't already, this is another great opportunity to follow the conference starter pack.
Get in touch if you'd like to be added to this - it is a work in progress. go.bsky.app/FffPieC

Reminder: electronic versions of posters and talks should be sent to the #ViCEPHEC25 email address by Thursday 21st (tomorrow).
This is important because some attendees require electronic materials to fully engage with the conference.
If anyone's heading over/up/down to @vicephec.bsky.social next week, check out the presentation by Strathclyde student sgchem.bsky.social , who used TikTok to punch up our prelabs! Previously of the YouTube Paper fame, with @lemackz.bsky.social royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/...
