Gaia is a Chocolate Ginger Tiffin Stout that was brewed for International Women's Day as part of International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day. It's a rich and luxurious dark beer brewed with 10 kilos of fresh ginger and 40 kilos of dark chocolate buttons. Made with sweet, spice, and everything nice.
Tickets are limited and the beers are unmissable, get 'em while they're hot!
We have a pin of Gaia on handpull and some very limited bottles of Tartarus' finest in the fridges! As part of the event we are hosting a ticketed tasting with Rachel from Tartarus at 18:30 on the day, this will include a pour of Gaia and four different big-hitting Tartarus beers.
We are part of the Launch Party for Gaia, brewed at Tartarus Brewery, on Friday 17th of April!
Both beers are available online in bottle now and will be available at Bapance Taproom from 5pm in bottle and on draught. We're open as usual all Easter weekend, including hosting a vinyl night on Saturday where James, Will and the crew will be boogying the night away! 🍻
Today’s releases are starkly different but represent our approach to beer. Both utilise British ingredients throughout, from the malt to the hops and most importantly the ingredients used to flavour the finished beer; one commercially grown, the other foraged from the wild.
We picked the samphire with our pal Nick and his daughter, Jess, has done the wonderful artwork for this release.
Both beers will be available on Thursday from 11am on our webshop and at Balance Taproom from 5pm where they’ll be on draft and in bottle! See you there? 🍻
Secondly, we’ve got Samphire 2024 from our Foraged Series. This is a limited run of 100 bottles and this time we’ve upped the samphire to get a much more impactful flavour. There’s green salinity and a full bodied, herbal finish.
It’s our ode to the framboise Lambics of Brussels and we’re incredibly happy to showcase this amazing British produce in a beer brewed with all UK ingredients.
The first is Framboys, an exquisite expression of Maravilla raspberries, grown in Kent on the farm that we use for pretty much all of our fruit. Framboys is an old English word which shares origins with the Flemish, French an Dutch words for raspberry.

This Saturday we welcome our eggsteemed colleague DJ Phil for a one off solo set where he'll be going back to back with himself spinning an eggclectic mix of all vinyl tunes from 5pm!

Gallery Night
On Thursday March 19th we invite you to join us and Daniel Cox for an evening of art appreciation at the taproom. Daniel is a Manchester based fine artist exploring colour and texture to create evocative pieces that draw the eye, morph and change the longer you spend with them.
We’ll have chillies, pickling cucumbers, beans galore and much more. If you’ve got any seeds or seedlings that you’d like to share or swap, any recipes or growing tips then please do bring them along and we’ll make a lovely day of it! 😎🌻🍻
Whether you’re gardening curious or a seasoned green fingered pro, we’d love you to come along. We’ll have a potting bench at the ready too so you can go home with some brand new additions to the family and watch them grow, be that on a sunny window sill or in the garden.

On Sunday the 29th of March, as the evenings suddenly get a little bit brighter a little bit later, we’ll be celebrating by getting together to share seeds, plants, tips, recipes and more over a delicious beverage or two throughout the day.

Tannic, effervescent and funky, Veer is our first beer/wine hybrid. We've elevated each element bringing a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. Truly unique, Veer will be available this Thursday in bottle via the web shop and at the Taproom where we'll have it on draft too. 🍻
At Balance, we're partial to a bit of natty wine and last year we got a chance to fuse our love of natural wine with our love for beer in this collaboration with Matt Gregory Wines.
We're always experimenting with ingredients, flavours and methods that introduce complexity, depth and character to our beers and in this latest release we've taken a running dive into the deep end.
