I think it's probably not a clever long term scheme, but more of grabbing the big pile of money now and not planning ahead at all.
Key players contributing to the Hawks defeat of the Knicks: CJ McCollum, Johnathan Kuminga, Luka Garza, Baylor Scheierman, and Ron Harper Jr.
This is right on the mark.
The NBA is screwing things up with their broadcast delivery. Put the fan experience first, and that includes the option of local broadcasts for playoffs.
No fan anywhere loves the current system.
You have to rebound better than the Hawks are doing to beat the Knicks.
Shooting a higher percentage from 3 would also help.
I appreciate Horford, but this is a new layer of vagueness instead of an explanation.
The thing that Vucevic did well was fit in and not force things. That allowed the Celtics to just play their game and continue the flow.
With Embiid out, Queta has a big advantage in this series.
Philly will make adjustments and shoot better from 3 in game two.
But here's the thing. Queta will play a lot more than 15 minutes, and that's killer for the Sixers.
The headline could also read: ESPN gives Spurs second highest chance at winning the 2026 NBA title
The original ESPN Insights post: "According to ESPN Analytics, the Thunder have a 43% chance to win the championship, higher than the Spurs (18%), Pistons (14%) and Celtics (10%) combined."
"I'm still rehabbing," voiced Tatum. "Still just trying to ramp up."
me: The deeper the Celtics go into the playoffs, the further into this rehab Tatum will be, which means he could still level up from here.
The key to beating Orlando is to play Baylor Scheierman. Big mistake by the Pistons not giving him minutes.
Brad Stevens really out-GMed Daryl Morey this game.
I think Drummond tumbled into Tatum's Mom when he and Hauser got tangled up. She's fine. She was smiling.
Celtics have gone 10 deep at the beginning of the 2nd qurter.
Only because Scheierman, Garza, and Harper aren't on the other team.
This is well worth watching.

Scheierman, Harper, Garza, and Co did this:
They shifted Toronto to the Cavs.
They routed the tough talented Hawks to the Knicks, making NY's path difficult.
They sent weary Orlando on a trip to Philly, contributing to their loss.
That last game win vastly changed the East playoffs.
Since last season
Almost all the players on the Celtics got better.
Almost all the returning players on the Magic got worse.
Sixers in the first round.
John Karalis made a few good points about preferring Philly, including it's just less wear and tear because the flight is so short. Add that to Orlando being more likely to inflict physical damage.
Last year's Celtics got worn out by Orlando which might've contributed to losing to New York.
Wow, great article.
Sen Tammy Baldwin is introducing a bill to address the complicated maze of sports viewing. NYTimes:
All nationally televised games involving pro teams from a state would be made available for free statewide, via broadcasting or streaming and on a consistent channel or service.
Watching the NBA has become unnecessarily complicated.
Raheem Palmer:
Source: The Magic are dealing with major turmoil in their locker room with my sources saying that a star player is willing to demand a trade if the head coach Jamahl Mosley isn’t fired at the end of this season.
Everyone would win if the Jazz name returned to New Orleans, the Pelicans name was retired for eternity, and Utah dreamed up a new name for their team that was inspired by their region.
I liked Kyle Draper when he was studio host for the Celtics.
The Celtics pre and post games would be upgraded if he returned.
You've convinced me.
The amazing thing about this graphic is Russ and Sam did it with less rounds of playoffs.
