I really wanted to see Marathon ship because I believe so much in the game and (more importantly in my biased opinion) the people working so incredibly hard to ship something stellar.

Well it shipped, and it's something I can point proudly at and say "I was a small part of this".

It's been a bit since the last time I posted here, and it's been an incredibly challenging and rewarding time.

I got to really dive into my 2nd role at my 3rd game studio, continue to work with incredible people on a couple of awesome games, and also retire.

This is probably unfair of me, but I'm starting to wonder just a little bit if "don't worry, that'll be shut down in the courts" doesn't mean "we actually kinda want it to pass but we're not going to tell you that".

We have 2 puppies. They are about 60lbs each now. I didn't want puppies, and I didn't want big dogs, and yet here we are. I adore them.

At least I do until they come in from the rain, and Nutmeg refuses to give back the towel so I can dry Cinnamon off, too.

I realized today (again) that mentoring is so worth it. I appreciate every mentee I've ever had because I've learned something new from each and every one. I only hope that they also got to learn something new. 🥰
