Oooh, interesting to see what you do with this!
Hoping to splodge some paint on mine this weekend

I would say about the same number of coats and gripiness. And I haven't noticed any paint rubbing off.
The first coat on the resin was slightly patchy but the second went on fine. Tbf I've seen that before with the old formula so that might not be connected
I have and they seemed fine, these were done with the new primers and any problems with the painting are a skill issue.
Left is metal and right is resin, haven't done any plastics yet.

Ok, I think I'm calling the wall exteriors done for now. There's just a couple of details and weathering to do but that needs to wait until further on in the process
Yeah, I noticed that too ๐๐๐
Happy Birthday!
Reject AI.
Embrace Swan!
She looks amaaazing ๐
I noted where that stall was at Salute for avoidance. I don't think it saved me any money though, I've see the minis and I was never in any danger ๐
For fucks sake ๐ก
Traditional Salute haul photo!
Will do!
@badsquiddogames.bsky.social is always my first stop at Salute!

Always loved my Delaque back in the day, I've got to get round to finishing up the new versions I started quite a while ago ๐ค
Used a black micron pen and carefully went over all the etched lines, it was not a quick job but the cleanest way I could think of doing it.
Two small mdf panels with block textures etched in, painted as bricks. The top one has the lines emphasised with black lines and the bottom hasn't
Okay, so I know that at scale you shouldn't see the joints but the extra contrast just looks so much better to me! ๐คทโโ๏ธ

Bank Holiday weekend seems like a good time to get back on my nonsense!
map of this year's Salute wargames show at Excel, showing a big red arrow from the entrance directly to the Fenris Games and Bad Squiddo stands. other retailers are available. some of them are also really good!
today's the last day to guarantee a Salute pre-order via the fenris shop - i'll be too busy with a million other tasks to process orders after today's done. if there's something specific you want, get that order in today!

Painted another random mini, this time one of the resin raiders from Modiphius Fallout Wasteland Warfare.
rectangular stone "Blackhouse" with thatched roof, alongside a 28mm model for scale.
just one of many, *many* new buildings acquired from @fogoumodels.bsky.social that's in the shop now

Windows 11: it's like Windows 10 but everything is at least a bit shitter
I mean EVEN IF modern miniature business didn't NEED physical moulds. I want someone else to do the technical production part. I don't want my hobby time to be 3D printing, I want to just do the part I find fun....
Such a bafflingly bad take! ๐ซค
(And fuck AI, obviously!)
basic ringfort model - a closed circle of stone walls with small, solid door.
large ringfort model kit, including two round towers and substantial timber gatehouse.
the Fogou Ringfort (two versions!) is in the shop on pre-order now. I *should* have a handful ready for Salute but if you absolutely need to pick one up at the show the only way to guarantee one is a cheeky pre-order for collection on the day...
