I think it is, esp if you rely on art for any sort of income. Even if you’re not catering to individual algorithms (which I don’t personally have the energy to do) just posting regularly is enough to generate traffic. Figuring out a good time to post on each site goes a long way too

I scrolled through my play station library to figure out what I mistook it for, and somehow I thought Rogue Legacy was Slay the Spire? 😭 Dead Cells looks so cool though, I’d never heard of it!! The character design is so cool

I’ve spent the last few years focusing on refs/adopts w minimal shading, so I worry my ability to shade and render is starting to fall behind. I try to exercise the shading muscle every once in a while so I don’t lose it but 😅 there’s always room for improvement

Shading test w one of my ocs. I love the idea of greyscale to color (using gradient maps) but I compulsively merge layers as I work. Every tutorial I’ve watched requires you to like… not do that 💀 so I found a workaround for myself that’s not TOO time consuming

Up until today, I thought Slay the Spire was a 2D metroidvania platformer — which doesnt interest me, bc as much as I love their aesthetic, I’m cheeks at metroidvanias. But I saw a friend playing it today and now idk what I confused it with 😭 gonna add it to my wishlist
