The only way to bring down energy costs over the long term is to get off our reliance on oil and gas, and invest as fast as we can in renewables.

And why wouldn't they? Oil giants are set to make BILLIONS in bumper profits, as we all face huge costs on energy bills.
Politicians should ignore the oil lobby, and listen to the public.
The UK government must tune out the oil lobby and focus on the REAL solutions to the energy crisis:
- Scaling up homegrown renewables
- Insulating our cold leaky homes
What oil bosses want: to deepen our reliance on expensive polluting fuels for as long as possible.
What most people want: real solutions to the energy crisis, like scaling up homegrown renewables.
and let’s remember - Rosebank is oil for profit, not security.
Its reserves are mostly oil for export. Burning its reserves would see the UK breach its climate commitments.
The Jackdaw gas field could provide just 2% of current demand over its lifetime (in the most optimistic scenario).
Rosebank has the potential to displace reliance on gas imports by just 1%.
Hardly ‘energy security’ ðŸ«

Delek has already raked in hundreds of millions in the form of dividends from North Sea oil and gas.
We cannot stand by as North Sea extraction becomes a revenue stream to a company with links to genocide.
What’s more, Cambo would send profits to Ithaca’s majority owner Delek - one of Israel’s biggest oil companies.
Delek operates in illegal settlements in the West Bank and supplies fuel to the Israeli military.
Now, Rosebank co-owner Ithaca Energy wants to take on the challenge of reviving Cambo.
They’ve just submitted an application to the government to get Cambo approved for drilling, opening up a public consultation.
BREAKING 🚨: Cambo is back for round two.
Last time this massive oil field was on the table, thousands of people across the world fought back and we won - forcing Shell to pull out from the project.
