I had no leeks. I used 2 white onions, they were rather sweet. Butter, wafer thin slices of russet potatoes, salt, pepper. I’m going to freeze small amounts for later meals. I’ll add cream when I serve. Honestly, the onions taste great! Inexpensive too!

The gold is metallic? Or is there another color as well?
