We're all wondering when he's going to get hacked to pieces with an axe

Though the prototype's just at the level of moving the UV in one axis, so you could e.g. scroll horizontally or vertically through a background texture or swap through textures for different expressions on a character's face, but you couldn't do stuff like scaling or rotating textures (for now?)

The dev's actually working on that (showed an early prototype in their discord yesterday). v2's not made in PICO-8 any more so it's not subject to the same limitations

PokeDex image of Valence as a Pokémon with an evolution. First stage is like a mirror or dimensional portal. You can see and inverted, dark face through it, grinning. Out of the mirror some spiky hair like shapes emerge. It evolves into an also dark little critter with spiky hair. They're sitting inverted on a cahir or cushion that's looking upwards. Their body is covered in phluorescent green lines and they have an evil dark eyed stare.

PokeDex image of Nekkowe. First stage is like a spiky yellow head with a single eye in the middle. THe head is surrounded by a necklace. THe evolution is like a small sun with a single eye for a head. Orbiting it are the parts of the previous necklace with also some green orbs. The body is another pink orb from which four long gumby like flat limbs emerge forward.

They have big red eyes and some very thin tendrils that work like limbs and a repeating diamond pattern covers their entire body. The evolution is a floating coat with eyes and the same hat floating above the coat. The inside of the coat is the same diamond pattern that repeats itselv.

Second batch of Pokémon! With evolutions too if you can believe it, wow! Valence, Nekkowe and Fuzehunter were chosen by the wheel.
