Kid: can you get some blackberry jam, I'd like to have blackberry frosting.
Me:
Kid: what? No?
Me: you are looking at someone who has an immersion blender & strainer & always looking for a reason to use them.
Kid: but I want it sweet
Me: sugar exists, don't worry your sweet little head

Buckle up, midwesterners, this is how WE make Superman ice cream. This one minute video has it all: bright primary colors, me falling off stuff, a cameo from the mayor, me flying, an employee walking into a scene.
Is the tightening grip of a triopoly... good? No, it's not. Here's what local food folks had to say.

Dropping truth bombs on main today I see. Ouch.
Ice cream can’t fail you, it can only be failed by you.
That's a good tie-in. Not a in-your-face like & subscribe, but a real actual tie-in for a thing that's relevant to the video. If you're typing out material anyway, it may as well be a weekly email thing.

look - social media is fun. I like looking at pictures of food and pets being silly. It's also a decent place to get news.
But the day I have to upload an ID or other biometrics just to log in is the day I leave. And I won't miss a beat.
This place is not vital to my existence.
Remember when Papa said if he offered healthcare to his employees it'd cost $.05 per pie & people were like "fuck yeah, man that's awesome, do it!" And then he didn't.

Children at an Edinburgh hospital painted pebbles for the penguins at Edinburgh Zoo and will be able to watch them choose and present them to their mates via livestream.

This is like the UK version of a rap battle. This reminds me of the "OMG ___ crushes/obliterates/... ____ here." Type videos when all the guys does is say "she said yes and now no." And everyone is slapping their knees & going omg got her good, wow.
All the FB groups post about new purchases but vast majority are thrift store finds or auction/estate sales at much reduced rates that what they all claim the "worth" is.
"I just got this ___ for $2 and is worth $100!!" Oh? I just sold that same 1 for $20 bc it sat at $100 for 6 months w no buyer.
My initial estimate based on eBay/etsy/auction listings was $10k ish. That was already undercutting on price the existing offerings by 25-50%.
Reality: $4-5k. So more like a 70% reduction from ebay/etsy listed prices.
I received somewhere in the 225-250 range of cookie jars when all was said & done. The books from the 80s/90s said "worth" & a lot of collectors claim that, but none would actually pay that $. Everyone wants a "deal" which means the "worth/value" is very much not what is shown.
This type of headline / articles is what gives small time collectors the false promise of "riches".
Reality: couldn't sell them on craigslist, only got rid of 25% on eBay in a couple days at less than $100 each. No mention of shipping cost.
