Don't know why, but I thought of Northern California. The light there is crisp and sharp when it's not foggy.
I remember how the colors almost become diluted, watery versions of themselves once the fog descends upon San Francisco.
Muted grays and tender wisps of clouds on earth.

Weekend reads
I have three books I'm currently reading and I'm switching them up, depending on my mood.
There's a line in this book about how "there are no two qualities of light the same, no matter where you go. Australia is bright and hard. Galfway has a smudgeness to it, a tender haze."

Sis, binigay lng sya sa amin kasi nung puppy sya hindi maganda tubo ng fur nya. He had semi-bald patches. Pero when we took him in, nag okay naman bigla. He's the sweetest!

My two personalities.

Roro Reads.
It's destination appropriate so I left "One Hundred Years of Solitude" muna.
This is how I actually choose the books I'm going to read. There's a reason - if not a common theme - with my TBR.
Next year I'll do random shit. Make it a most chaotic TBR.
Full on mayhem.
Next book. Hopefully can finish it just in time for Netflix's adaptation
Close enough 😬
Time of the year for general cleaning ng bahay

New crochet project.
A graph titled "Cost of Transport" showing the relationship between body weight (in kilograms) and energy consumption for distance traveled (calories per gram per kilometer) for various animals and machines. It highlights that a person on a bicycle ranks first in efficiency.
A person on a bicycle is by far the most energy-efficient among animals and machines per distance traveled relative to body weight. The bicycle is magic.

Post: Freddy Mercury died of AIDS 33 years ago today. With modern medical technology, he likely would have lived. Never forget how much progress against major infectious disease has been made in a short time. We are at risk now of rolling back much of that progress.
We’re not going back.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the warring Kasamaan and Kadiliman camps.
Amen.
As a book hoarder, no cup if ever big enough.
Let's go with all three.
Optimist: The cup is half full
Pessimist: The cup is half empty
Book hoarder: The cup is not where you put books, get your self a proper bookshelf. Or two.
The other exploding area of dark money in politics is the crypto lobby.
They have dumped insane sums in elections in both parties (Dem primaries + GOP general elections).
It’s pretty bad
I see this as the main sticking point. People who oppose bike lanes generally view cycling as a purely recreational activity. In their minds, bike lanes on arterials are the equivalent of placing tennis courts on arterials. Changing that perception will be crucial.
Just finished reading The Road and had absolutely loved it and finding out about this.
I feel equal parts disappointed and outraged. Are there no more male authors left that aren't complete scumbags?
Still reeling over Niel Gaiman, honestly.
I hate living in a volatile time. I would like to exist outside of time, eating a sandwich

Visited Booksale Robinson's Bacolod before they close.
Will post the books I got.
I have so many memories sa Booksale na to. Malapit lang to dati kung saan ako una nag trabaho sa Bacolod and I used to spend a few hours a day here, browsing and buying books to de-stress.
The Philippine vice president threatened to have President Marcos assassinated as a feud between two powerful political clans worsens.
My first try at a round patterned beanie.
