BBC's John Simpson on journacide at its worst; "According to Israeli human rights organisation Yesh Din, Israeli forces have “near-total immunity from prosecution in cases in which Palestinians were harmed by IDF soldiers”... there aren’t any consequences"

Screencap of tweet by John Simpson: "The body of the Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil was found by rescuers after several hours of digging in the rubble after an Israeli strike. She is the fourth journalist to have been killed by Israeli forces in seven weeks. This is why the word 'journacide' is now being used."

“He is unable to move from talking about change to delivering change. When he does not get what he wants, he is instantly a blamer and a sacker. And so he is strapped to the mast of a sinking ship.”
Nails it.
“I surrender, but this was the whitest flag I’ve got”
It’s jaw-dropping. If USA can’t sort itself out, maybe it’s time for one of those regime changes they’re so fond of imposing on other countries.
Murdered MP's daughter wants Reform candidate who called for violence against politicians to be suspended
www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Israel’s murderous rampage across the Middle East will only accelerate because the majority of our government leaders are too corrupted to call it out.
The journalists who dedicated their lives exposing the Zionist regimes heinous acts must never be forgotten.
Very impressed you sprinted the whole way!
According to the Geneva Convention this is a war crime. Unlike the ICC, Israel have signed the Geneva Convention.
"Seriously, what IS this bollox?"
And they wonder why voters are cynical. I'm off to write to my MP as Peter implores.
Wow, can @labouruk.bsky.social MP @tomhayesmp.bsky.social give any reason why he’s taking @greenparty.org.uk leaflets from properties?
This is unacceptable.
He needed to be brave and bold, and had the majority needed for that. He should have prioritised 2 main things - strengthening democracy and making life better for the majority.
Instead he’s tinkered round the edges, tried to appeal to Reform voters and unforgivably has supported genocide.
BREAKING: Ed Miliband tells Sky’s Sophy Ridge that when he saw Mandelson had been appointed as U.S Ambassador “I was worried”. Says he told David Lammy and that “I think he was worried too”
Yo @shelaghfogarty.bsky.social @iaindale.bsky.social @lbc.co.uk do you still feel Israel has a right to defend itself?
We all need to know about this. Please read and share.
We are being colonised by private tech companies.
I have signed a letter to the Foreign Secretary about the escalation of deadly Israeli settler violence in the West Bank and Israel’s systematic demolition of Palestinian homes.
The letter urges the government to make diplomatic interventions and impose sanctions on Israeli settlements.
Palantir in the NHS is linked to Mandelson
Mandelson is linked to Wes Streeting
Wes Streeting is defending Palantir’s involvement in the #NHS
Nothing to see or everything to see
Palantir must be removed from the NHS
Especially in such a high profile appt of a man who’d been forced to resign from Blair’s govt in disgrace, not once but twice. And who was known to be a friend of Epstein.
Surely Starmer would have been all over the details, ensuring the vetting and appt were watertight.
“In his statement to MPs, Starmer said: “A deliberate decision was taken to withhold that material from me. This was not a lack of asking.”
So why did Starmer go ahead with the appointment even though he had not received all the information he’d asked for?
It was a very high profile appointment.
Mandelson had been forced to resign, not once, but twice from the Blair govt and was known to be a friend of Epstein.
You would have thought Starmer would have ensured absolutely everything was in apple pie order before announcing the appointment.
Elections are coming to Essex on 7 May.
We asked the five main parties what they’re offering voters.
Only two replied.
Here’s what they said.

“….adding that it also reflects a wider move away from ultra-processed foods. “Raw milk is in its natural state, straight from the cow and full of goodness.”
There’s a reason milk is processed.
And raw cows milk is full of goodness for calves, not humans.

Mandelson was a very high profile appointment. He also had been forced to resign twice by the Blair govt on two separate issues. And it was already known that he had links to Epstein. You would think Starmer would have demanded to see all the paperwork and vetting details before appointing him.
Obviously right thing to do for EU & UK (for its similar agreement with Israel).
Absolutely no excuse for preferential trade agreements with a country that is deliberately defying international law to pursue systematic mass killings, war crimes & ethnic cleansing

🟨 Print Edition — How Labour Became a Party of the Super-Rich
The Telegraph journalist Charles Moore once remarked that whereas Margaret Thatcher believed in privatisation, Tony Blair just liked rich people.
Have been wondering when candidates would start talking about this. One of the biggest corruption scandals is U.S. history playing out in real time.
'When the current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom makes a bad decision it always seems that others must take the blame.' Excellent summary of the increasing political weakness of Starmer's position over Mandelson @davidallengreen.bsky.social emptycity.substack.com/p/the-decisi...
Once upon a time there was a ruler who made a bad decision. All the courtiers and servants knew it was a bad decision, but they put into effect the bad decision, for the ruler had already made and proclaimed the decision. And when it turned out to be a very bad decision indeed, those courtiers and servants were sacked by the now “furious” ruler.

NEW: Richard Tice failed to pay almost £100,000 in corporation tax, benefiting his investment company which made large donations to Reform UK.
First time Reform's deputy leader's tax affairs can be directly linked to finances of Nigel Farage's party.
