It's good to be home.

What do people do in public these days? I haven't lived in the same state as my friends in years, my in-person socializing has been limited to roommates and family at holidays. Now I'm gonna be visiting people, and they're asking me what I want to do. Exist? Around you? In person? I am providing me.

When I think about whether a game or book has inspired me more with games, the answer is always a book. You can look at a game and go "yeah I could recreate that," but it's so much more inspiring to look at something in a book and go "this is how I would go about that."

It's always teenagers, urban fantasy, or superheroes. Or teenage urban fantasy. Or teenage superheroes.

I am sickened by the relentless demonisation of refugees.

No refugee underfunded a school.

No refugee closed a hospital.

No refugee took away support from the sick and disabled.

We need solutions not scapegoats. Stop blaming refugees and tax the rich instead!

How do people find new things to watch nowadays? I feel ancient saying this, but in the good old days of cable, I did it by accidentally catching an episode of something while flipping through channels. Now I have to seek things out, and I'm a lot pickier than I was at 16. I hate it.
