In a meeting today I got to watch a man recommend a process I designed (which I believe another colleague shared with him) to a group of people who thought it was a great idea, if you’re wondering how my day was.

I feel it is very much not an overstatement to say libraries saved my life and the life of at least one of my children.

You ever just sit down to do a bunch of submissions and then rename files for the entirety of your submission time or is that just me and my fear of perpetual rejection?

Far too many libraries' Banned Books Week displays will present these book challenges as petty nuisances rather than active, growing threats to democracy. Libraries are being defunded, receiving bomb threats, librarians being fired; our usual approach with caution tape ain't gonna do justice. 📚
