A screenshot of a hosiery size chart. Every size above M/L says "N/A" under "thigh width"
Apparently fat ladies do not have thighs at all!
AOC: This is a threat of genocide and merits removal from office. The President’s mental faculties are collapsing and cannot be trusted. To every individual in the President’s chain of command: You have a duty to refuse illegal orders. That includes carrying out this threat.
Not one word of this is hyperbole.
Björk, Rihanna and a passionate embrace: visions of love – in pictures A new book celebrating four decades of fashion photography duo Inez and Vinoodh features celebrity portraits, surrealist visions and a meditation on love itself
The fucking Guardian over here, teasing me with the idea of Bjork and Rihanna embracing.
Flea: "Music is all about connections and how it brings us together, something that we've done together as brothers, it's a beautiful thing we're lucky to share with the world."
Anthony: "This song is called 'Wang Tang Doodle on My Pickle Dickle Tickle'"
Also, imagine that you are very tired and someone sets aside a couple of hours for you to nap and makes your bed all cozy and tucks you in and then not napping???
Imagine stealing someone’s phone, snooping in their photos, hurling the phone across the room, and then screaming because you can’t get the phone back. Toddlers are wild!
It’s hard! It wasn’t a designation that mattered too much to either of us (he floated it again recently though) but we mattered a lot to each other, but now literally everything is paperwork
Just a few days ago, America saw the biggest public political demonstration in the nation's history. 8 million people across the country. Virtually no violence, no incidents of any kind. An absolutely remarkable phenomenon.
I'm reminding you because the media's forgotten already.
Cap Hill is the heterosexual dimension of Capitol Hill
Hahaha I forgot about that, what a fun few days online
This is really indescribably horrifying.
A note about this: I just spoke with an attorney who thinks today's SCOTUS decision on conversion therapy makes it even easier for crisis pregnancy centers to escape any sort of regulatory scrutiny moving forward.
And we're still waiting for the 9th Circuit ruling on abortion pill reversal.
I've been included in decisions and I would be lying if I said I felt left out of all the paperwork, and we had a certain amount of assumed-marriage privilege thanks to being an opposite-sex partnership. So things went about as well as they could have, absent the piece of paper. Still sucks.
Oh, yeah, this is 100% something I am getting together, now that I have dealt with someone my age not having it together.
Like "we don't need a piece of paper to say we love each other" is all fine and good until your partner of 16 years dies and you're staring at a death certificate that says there's no surviving spouse and you crash out for a few days. If I didn't get along with his family so well I would be fucked.
My partner (and father of my child) died semi-unexpectedly a few weeks ago and one thing I have learned from the fallout is that marriage matters, or we need better legal shorthand for "my person/people" that's not marriage. Any consenting adult(s) should be able to officially commit to each other.
Oh that looks wonderful!
good news the dogs are still good
The red makes it look like it’s way more noticeable. The before and after shows how stupid this is

I've been keeping Seattlish on life support for a decade now!
Why would anyone need to know about anything that happened five years ago?? /s
Curbed Seattle disappearing was kinda inevitable as a small part of a massive media company mostly concerned with New York, but Crosscut's archives were controlled locally (and they waited a MUCH shorter amount of time after firing everyone)
