Measles is set to become endemic in Canada by the end of the year per Canada’s chief public health officer. Yet all we’re seeing are these little scattered “outbreaks” in most provinces and across the U.S.

Waterloo region now has 78 confirmed and an additional 22 probable cases of measles. These numbers are part of the total count since the provincial measles outbreak in October of 2024.
