That’s a shame cos he and his team are actually delivering benefits to the country that were being destroyed over the preceding 14 years and against a hostile environment within and without since day 1.

I’ve bookmarked this for a read in the morning. It’s quite probably thus far in my poor understanding of trans issues where I have an idea fixe around this particular issue.

Presumably all competitors are subjected to the test.

The older I get, the more to explore and contemplate, reflect adjust

We know the same people

Maybe we should have an emergency debate in HoC about issues that materially are affecting people’s lives. Housing, wages etc etc

5th richest nation in the world with food banks…

Maybe there are distribution issues

Can someone remind me what actual harm was caused to the UK by appointing Mandy as US Ambo?

A lot of people spent days going "OMG OMG OMG popcorn at the ready SiR kEiTh obvs lying; Olly Robbins has the receipts". Now they're like "too clever to get caught, they did it with VIBEZ."

From "Starmer is really bad at politics" straight to "Starmer is Machiavelli reincarnated" - like every week.

Meta just paid the lowest effective federal tax rate in its history.

Thanks to tax breaks and loopholes, it avoided $13.7B in 2025 federal income taxes.

But now it's planning to lay off 10% of its global workforce (8,000 people) by May 20 — with more job cuts later this year.

Trickle down hoax.

Anyone spotted (particularly media luvvies) that the process followed with the Mandelson appointment is the process which was in place throughout the Tory years. Starmer's first experience with this flawed process and he's changed it so it cannot happen again, remind us again, what's the story.

One of the better pics of the world on fire. Such a shame the Japan tsunami didn’t reach 3 metres, kill thousands, destroy homes and cause another nuclear disaster…

Same old same old #explodey

Where’s the fun in that…

Glad UK is hysterical about a duff appointment

😘

Thank you Minister. You might be primos inter pares one day. I feel it in my bones

Hope you are well chuck or at least fair to middlin

Seems so. People have such short memories, turned on by fake outrage and a lust for confected drama which they happily contribute to. It’s almost as if the country has become addicted to government by X Factor style multi voting and manipulation. Congrats to all that are being swept along

I thought he did very well. Apologised where it was on him and he got in a tonne of questions. The attack seemed to rest on this idea that he needed to be psychic. I think he is right to assume our processes are working until they are proven not to, otherwise youd be investigating everything always.

Maybe it’s true. Maybe he’s about to kill 250,000 residents while he goes on holiday, takes time out to write a book and generally has a good time partying after having lied to the Queen to illegally prorogue parliament.

That’s just the shortlist.

Exactly the same…

OMFG I had to go and check that this ACTUALLY happened.

Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.

Hello, I have a new book out in the spring with Picador and I would love it if you could help me spread the word.

IF WE TOLERATE THIS draws on years of work, to help readers understand why British politics is hurtling rightwards and what to do about it.

I can't get out of my mind something a cab driver said to me in Belfast last week:

"There's something about America I can't understand. It's a country with so much potential and so many good people in it. How could such a terrible man get elected twice to run it?'
