A work in progress yellow ork in mega armor.
Making some progress today! I got his shoulder painted up and went in Rodin some yellow in various areas. They need edge highlighting and some weathering. Hoping to wrap them up soon and get the base done next.

Here’s where I’m at today. Assembled the Mega armored Warboss and sealed my display board. Trying something new by putting some metal disks down for my magnets to get some grip to.
Putting a layer of paper towel on top so the disks don’t stand out as high for the sand and paste I’ll be putting down
Sponge paint brushes, mod podge, and metal discs laid out in a puppy pad.
What am I doing today? I’m making the display for my army. I have an idea but we’ll see how this goes.

But that list would be so fun. Two trucks full of meganobz zipping down the board with two belligerent mobs of angry fungus in metal suits has my interest.
I’m getting close to having my Big Mek painted for the open! And my Mega armorer Warboss shows up.
I get 500 points of flex so I might bring an extra trukk, some more meganobz and try to bang out a second HQ model this month… but I worry I won’t have the time to get a second one done.

I am such a sucker for 3rd party models though. So many great ideas.

Small update from yesterday. I cleaned up the skin, touched up the lip, did the teeth and skulls.
Also noticing I missed his whole ass shoulder.

Did the skin, tightened the face and teeth, and pushed some controlled recess shading across the armor.
It’s finally starting to feel table-ready.

The only think I didn’t care for was the last battle with what felt like a very long ad for the GW model range. But the book as a whole is wonderful, it’s so fun and funny at times. I like the audiobook too!
