I noticed a sound effect used in the Yoshi reveal trailer was also used in IGPX, just tuned slightly differently:

Merry Christmas, everyone! Production I.G made this holiday post decades ago featuring Amy from IGPX (and other I.G properties)
Today marks a big anniversary for #IGPX - the 20th anniversary of the first US broadcast on #Toonami. The second episode also aired on this day 20 years ago, (November 5) and that really hooked me into the series. I don't think it's an exaggeration that to say it was a life-changing day for me.

20 years ago today, IGPX premiered on Toonami. I wanted to do something for the anniversary but I just didn’t have any time and I’ll be traveling today, so instead have a look at some rarely-seen production art. Celebrate the anniversary by getting the Blu-ray: store.crunchyroll.com/products/igp...
10 years ago, @arguingmeadows.com (Jose Argumedo) graciously approached me to do an interview for my fan site for the 2016 #IGPX DVD box set release by Discotek. The interview is finally available on YouTube. When you've got some time, please give it a listen!

On October 5th, 2005, 20 years ago today, the first episode of #IGPX aired in Japan for the first time on TV Asahi. I made this post simply to commemorate the 20th anniversary of IGPX, and I'll be back for the anniversary of the US premiere in a month!
(new YT video coming before then!!)
IGPX’s 20th anniversary is coming up (October 5th in Japan; November 5th in the US) and it might be time for a rewatch. If you have the Blu-ray, I highly recommend checking out the Video Liner Notes to see which version you’d like to check out. It was one of my favorite features, here’s a sneak peek
There are at least 2 that come to mind:
LOTR: Rohirrim - budget $30m, (worldwide) box office $20m
The Fall (2006) - budget $30m, box office $4m
The Fall probably made a lot of the deficit back in disc sales and streaming, and Rohirrim seems to be doing okay there, as well. Both are incredible films!
I was going through the long list of Emmy nominations (mostly looking for Andor stuff) and was pleasantly surprised to see #Lazarus was nominated for its opening theme. Way to go!
(the award is, "outstanding original main title theme music".)
Glad to see #Toonami giving the sub version a whirl on air. I really like the Japanese voice acting for this series
I probably should have reposted this last week on the IGPX Blu-ray anniversary but screw it. I’m proud of this trailer, I’m bumping it for more people to see.
#Lazarus is really rewarding patient fans with this latest episode. Can't wait for the final episodes!
On a side note, soon people will be enjoying it on HBO Max, not Max:

I'm so glad I was able to be a part of this amazing Blu-Ray set!
Today marks the one-year anniversary of the Blu-Ray release of #IGPX. To celebrate, I'm releasing a YouTube version of the interview that Jason DeMarco kindly did for my IGPX fan site back in 2006 (presented in one segment, no additional commentary). Enjoy!

The "3rd Audience" is particularly interesting to me. It is basically talking about people who cannot watch or attend races, but still follow teams in the IGPX. They "enjoy communicating with others about the IGPX." This show was made before SNS was a thing, so this is cool.
The #IGPX 401 action report is now live, with more info on IG mechs, and some new exclusive info (a kind of "Did you know?!" section) that delves into the point system a bit more and the kinds of people who make up the "audiences" of the IGPX.

A new #IGPX action report goes live now. This report covers animal navigation, mech specifications and more. Check it out:

Just finished watching the Japanese premiere of #Lazarus. Wow, what a banger of a first episode. And the Japanese voice acting was top notch, especially Axel's voice. The actor is Mamoru Miyano, the same guy who played Light from Death Note. Can't wait for more episodes (and to watch it in English)
A premiere for the 1st episode of #Lazarus was held a few weeks ago in Japan. The cast comment on the show, and one of them comments how proud he is that Japan has produced such a great series, with great action and music, and he can't wait for the rest of the world to see: youtu.be/fU8lYpcBySk?...
Yep, if they're willing to fork over the extra 20000 yen. It will only be available through My Nintendo. That also makes sense; brick-and-mortar stores can just keep things simple selling the cheaper Japan-only console that most people here will want
Nintendo figured out an ingenious way to be fair to their home market of Japan while charging more in other markets and preventing people from coming to Japan to buy the cheaper model - make a Japanese-Language system and a Multi-Language System; 49980 and 69980 yen
www.nintendo.com/jp/hardware/...
But, also, if it's $399, it'll be 60000 yen in Japan, which is literally double the price of the price of the Switch when it launched in Japan (30000 yen). There's no way they would do that to their home market. So my final prediction is it'll be $349 (and 50000 yen in Japan)
My last #Switch2 prediction is $349 (USD) for the price of the console with no game bundled. Here's my logic (see reply, too) - the lowest priced PS5 is $399, with a game. That alone tells me that the Switch 2 needs to compete with it by having a lower price
Well, Nintendo Music just released the soundtrack of the SNES F-Zero game a few hours ago, which is peculiar timing. Maybe the odds for at least an F-Zero GX NSO port just went up...?
3. The odds of any of these 3 things happening are extremely low. The only hope here is that because the distributor, Tripwire, hasn't announced the game's shutdown, despite it being in developmental limbo since November, it makes me think they're holding out for some big occasion like this
2. There's no reason they couldn't do this on the Switch 2, and at launch. They'll trickle games out, of course, like with the N64 library, but that'll start at least this year, if not at the same time as the console's launch with a few games
We're about 24 hours out from the Switch 2 Direct. Here are my 3:
1. Announcement that the Switch 2 will be released in mid-May
2. Gamecube games added to NSO at launch
3. Deceive Inc resurrected, becomes free to play, and is a Switch 2 launch title
See logic/reasoning in replies:
1. There's no way they're hyping all this up in April, including the global experience events, just to release the console sometime later. And why miss the people who will want to buy it before summer vacationing? I'm nearly certain of this release window (though I could see June as a possibility)
