Can I add onto that. If you only ever want to show them your art and expect feedback/praise while never expressing any curiosity/interest/supportiveness in theirs. Don’t. That shit is the worst. Feels very “creatively parasitic”, for lack of a better way to put it

Words of advice: if you're friends with another artist and the first thing you do after they finish a piece they're proud of is complain about how "you can't draw as good as you want", "your own art sucks", "you lost all the love for drawing/your character". Don't.
