A Robin stands on a garden fence behind a tall Great Spotted Woodpecker, which is posed confidently at the front as if being admired.
‘Hang on, who are you? This is MY big weekend!”
‘Sorry can’t talk - the humans are counting me. They’re so excited.’
‘But...I’M ON THE POSTERS!’

Nadim Zahawi arrived in the UK from Iraq as a child refugee. His family claimed asylum once they were here. Today he has joined Reform who will stop all in country asylum applications. Under his new party, his own family fleeing persecution would be immediately deported.

Amazingly, Zahawi only got round to deleting the below after the press conference announcing his defection to Reform.

A new 'memorial sculpture' has been installed in Warley Woods titled "CHEAP SLEDGES IN PILES".
It is a thought-provoking piece on the inclination to chase instant gratification at the expense of long-lasting contentment.

Nigel Farage currently railing against Parliament being full of "professional politicians".
He founded UKIP in 1993 and was first elected as an MEP in 1999, twenty-six years ago. Less than 5% of current MPs (31 to be precise) have a longer career in politics than Farage. ~AA

The nerve of this is simply incredible. Will the right-wing press continue to provide cover?

So, Sunday Times runs with latest poll showing Farage winning if there was an election now. But makes NO mention of Reform’s collusion with Russia. And this is how democracy gets beaten to death in the dark. Voters are not being told the truth. Reform is given the stage but is NEVER held to account.

Seriously. A one-hour Party Political Broadcast. Followed at the top of the next hour with top story billing and a highlights package.
Exactly how will this be "balanced" across their coverage?

Catch Eye hack Richard Brooks tonight on ITV1 in The Covid Contracts: Follow the Money.
The documentary tells the story of how some companies with little or no track record in supplying PPE or medical tests were given massive contracts - and made a killing from Covid.

I’ve just realised that I haven’t listened to BBC radio 4 routinely now for years. I stopped the news programmes including the today programme over a year ago when they became unashamed mouthpieces for Farage.
I was a lifelong radio 4 listener. I wonder how many others there are.
