If you are curious about the imagery of flying a nations flag upside down it is common practice in Hawaii and understood to mean a nation in distress.

As a descendent of New Amsterdam and New France I take my responsibility towards North America, the land and her people very seriously.

If you disagree with me on how to get there but are still motivated on doing the best for everyone then I respect your opinion and you have every right to disagree with me.

On the more extreme end: I like the idea of legal households instead of families / marriages. Also reminder: I am not now and have never been Christian.

But take care of each other is the bases for most of ethics

- I want to be part of a country that can take in immigrants and give them a better shot at life
- we are at the adapt part of climate change and we should be working to figure out how to support climate refuges

- our constitution is built on giving a voice to smaller population zones
- the constitution is also built for things to move slowly
- I would rather feed 10 people who can feed themselves than one person starve.

- I think if you work full time on minimum wage you should have access to housing at 1/3 your income
- You should be free to be you whatever that looks like (gender, religion, race, sexuality, etc etc etc)
- freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences

I'm not around online but here is what I have to say about the state of the US:
- I am a DAR member and my family (2 gens!) fought for the founding of this country
- the constitution isn't perfect but it is our messy experiment in democracy and I believe in it.
