I've been stressed lately as I learn to make stickers. But just now it hit me how COOL child me would think this is -- like, I have a paper-cutting robot IN MY HOUSE and I use a laptop to talk to it... so although it is a lot of trial and error, I'm now pretty psyched to keep working with the robot.

Calling electeds to say "thank you" for voting in a way you support is really energizing! I haven't done it as much in the past but I want to do it more moving forward -- I feel motivated to keep up the fight that way. Gives me energy after I've completed the request calls.

Thank you @timothysnyder.bsky.social for keeping people's eyes on this. We would have already seen a pogrom in Ohio and across the country if not for people speaking up; we can prevent one from happening if we call/email Senators to get TPS extension through.

The vote to extend TPS for Haitians now goes to the Senate. Please, PLEASE, if you have time, call/email your Senators to encourage them to vote to extend this measure. 10 Republican reps supported this in the House, proving our voices DO matter.
Link below will get you a call/email script.

The Pope didn’t “push back.”

He’s refusing to engage.

He said he’s going to keep doing his job.

DJT’s words don’t matter.

This isn’t a debate.
Don’t let DJT create one.

The back of an embroidery project, which is like if you took all the ribbons tied on a wish tree and smooshed them onto some fabric. You can still see the shape of the goose, but it looks haunted. (It is not haunted. Yet.)

...and, the eldritch horror that is the back side of an embroidery project:

An embroidery project in a hoop. The project is on a butter-yellow cotton fabric. A Canada goose (head and neck only) is framed in a lavender square, with the words "silly, but strong" in cursive around its face.

Silly goose is finished! I am really pleased with how this turned out; I changed the composition a couple times throughout the process and learned a lot. I have way more patience now that I have the time/space to focus when I do art. I'll try to get better lighting later 😝

Same silly goose embroidery as above, but with more lavender background fill and goose face completed. Low lighting because I hate Big Light lol.

I am inept, that was yesterday morning's pic! Here is what I started with this morning. Yesterday, I filled in the rest of the black on the goose's face and filled in some of the background. It is so soft to the touch, I love embroidery!!

WIP: "Silly, but strong" embroidery. I hope to finish adding a lavender background within the square.

I love Canada geese. And, as a self-identified silly goose, I want to remind other silly folks that their humor and whimsy are valuable and wonderful.

Might sew it on as a patch later.

Dear Lis,
Thank you so much to everyone at Fandom Craft Market for your support of the American Immigration Council! Raising more than $70,000 is an incredible achievement. The time you've put into all your crafts - from crochet to pottery, and everything in between - shows that you pour care and intention into your art. It's clear you extend that same level of care to the communities you stand with, and we're honored to be part of your advocacy.
Because of your dedication and others standing alongside you, the Council can continue providing pro bono legal services to thousands of
people unjustly detained by ICE who would otherwise face the system alone. Through our Immigration Justice Campaign, we're working to ensure that more individuals in detention have access to attorneys - something that can make the difference between remaining in the United States or being deported to danger.

Beyond the courtroom, your impact reaches people across the country. The Council works in over 100 communities across more than 40 states, bringing together local leaders, organizers, and advocates to push back against harmful policies and build more welcoming communities.
Your generosity makes all of this - and more - possible.
We are deeply grateful for your partnership, your artistry, and the powerful community you've built in support of immigrant justice.
With gratitude,
Jeremy

Apparently Pam Bondi is on the chopping block next. She’s a hardened criminal like all of them but the women get axed first. I don’t feel bad for them though because they thought they were better than all the other women. All of us in minority communities should recognize this pattern.

It's Trans Day of Visibility today. If you're trans and are raising money for something (I don't care what it is), reply to this thread and I will boost you.

If you are a cis person, take a look and find someone to support if you can.

Everyone give this a share after.
