I started a playthrough of Deus Ex on Windows XP, streaming it and then putting the videos in a playlist on Youtube.
I'm not done with the playthrough yet but here's the link to the playlist (the game is in english, the comments are in french): youtube.com/playlist?lis...

Btw, shoutout to @archive.org for giving me easy access to most of the games and software I wish to install on this machine, from the OS to GTASA.
The game Grand Theft Auto San Andreas running on a Toshiba Satellite laptop.
I have an old Toshiba Satellite laptop that I purchased back in 2004, it had Windows Vista on it back then.
I felt like doing some retro PC gaming so I changed the hdd and installed XP on it. Wow! This thing runs everything I throw at it, it's amazing.
I'm adding "Illegitimate Goomba Stack" to my list of alternative usernames.
I had Ubuntu on this old iMac for ~1 year. It was going well until it started showing that "Kernel Panic!" message.
Well, I was curious about trying out Bazzite, do this serms like a good reason to go ahead and do that.

Useless fun fact:
KPI in French is ICP. Woop woop!

I like this, it makes corpo shit less unbearably boring.

i know
Photo a Nintendo 64 cartridge, the game Turok 2.
I was playing Turok 2 on N64 the other day and ... well, that game is
not as good as I remember it.
Big huge levels with almost nothing to shoot at. Janky controls.
The Cerebral Bore is a cool weapon but after you used it 2-3 times it kinda loses its charm.

Are you a Game Developer in need of a Senior QA, or a Junior Dev?
Because I'm looking for a job and I can do both of those things.
• 9 years of experience in QA
• Released a few small games as part of game jams (solo dev), won a prize once

I uploaded some new videos on my Youtube channel!
Here's one of them, playing Top Gear Rally (N64) on Analogue 3D. Mostly just painting my car followed a bit of racing.

"Friend slop"
Nope, that does not sound like a positive thing for the videogame industry. (The porn industry on the other hand...)

I am mad at everyone who got their Analogue 3D already while my console is still sitting in some warehouse overseas, not being shipped yet.
As promised earlier: here is a Steam key giveaway!

🚨 FREE STUFF ALERT! 🚨
I'll be giving away a Steam key at a random time later today.
It is a Humble Bundle leftover that needs to be used while it's still redeemable.
Not telling you what it is.

This looks good, gonna try it out right now!
A lot of the business failures of the games industry are really rooted in this desire to create a product that dominates the market. The recent Amazon thing really highlights that: they wanted to create a product that outperformed Steam, but they didn't understand Steam or what the audience wanted.
Godot is awesome and I love using it but big game studios aren't really using it.
And that's why I re-installed Unity on my computer.
It's been a while since I actually did anything with Unity, it feels like I forgot everything.
"Action figures" Why are they called like that?
I mean it's not like they move around by themselves.
Point-and-Click puzzle game I made a few weeks ago for the Patch Notes v1.0 game jam:

I later found out that this track is not in the public domain, despite being a million years old.
I'm guessing that's part of the reason for this calming banana bulshit.
[2/2]
The other day I was on Pixabay looking for some sound clips, I typed "carmina burana", the search bar automatically modified my query for "calming banana" (aka O Fortuna).
I have not seen any other searches get warped like that and it seems a bit strange.

(5/x) I fell that I will need to use pre-determined brick placement in the final product, or at least come up with various pre-determined brick sets.
I might also offer the choice between "scripted" and "random" levels.
That's all I have to say for now. Have a good day!
(4/x) how to adjust the target score and performance evaluation rules as the player reaches higher levels in the game.
Another point I'd like to bring up is the way the levels are populated with bricks. At the moment, the numbers and operands on the bricks are chosen at random but
(3/x) When the player finishes a round (or a "try") their performance is evaluated based not on how much they scored but on how close their score is to the target score.
Finding a way to evaluate the performance in a way that feel fair was a bit of an issue and I will need some more time to gauge
(2/x) and this helped a lot but it's still not perfect.
Getting the ball to bounce off the paddles with various angles and making that feel intuitive was also a bit of an issue, I might need to re-do the whole thing and find a different way to calculate at what angle it should bounce.
