I don’t know about these changes to WGA healthcare & eligibility. Thresholds & out of pocket expenses going up when most of us are struggling to find any work? I know healthcare costs are insane & we’re in a hole but yeesh.

Just so everyone knows — WGA has told Captains that what is being reported in the media regarding negotiations with the AMPTP is being reported without authorization and may not be completely accurate. A deal is not yet finalized. They will let everyone know when it is.

Lots of tech dudes think the "idea" is the important part of creating, not the creative journey you take through work to give that idea actual meaning. Ideas are the easiest, cheapest and least fulfilling part of it. Giving ideas life through work, and sharing that work with others, is the stuff.

Idaho governor signs law making transgender bathroom use a felony
Gov. Brad Little signed the measure on Transgender Day of Visibility as advocates rallied outside the statehouse.
And in horrifying news, Idaho's governor has signed the felony bathroom ban, with 5 year penalties for second offense bathroom usage, into law.
This is the most significant criminalization of trans people to date.
On trans day of visibility no less.
It will require a new "Do not travel" warning.

Fun and underrated part of the job: talking to experts. Just spent an hour on Zoom with a Harvard geneticist and it was invigorating. So smart, so welcoming, so passionate. People love sharing what they do with us writers and we have the privilege of sharing that passion with a massive audience.

The emerging cases of AI psychosis have shown that all it takes to drive some people completely insane is to put them in contact with a sycophantic chatbot who always agrees with them.
Now, what does that tell us about billionaire CEOs surrounded by sycophantic people who always agree with them?
