My English majors surprised me today with their excitement for html. Apparently they’ve been experimenting with it in fan fiction settings. Makes me feel a little more hopeful about my fear that we will slide into tech automation bc it’s “easy.”

So true, sadly. It’s a very difficult time to do the work of education.

Trump's trans healthcare ban is affecting Americans in Canada • Celeste Trianon U.S. international students studying at McGill now need to contend with the fact that if they are transgender, they can't get trans-specific healthcare on campus until they turn 19.

SCOOP: McGill University's on-campus doctors are now refusing to prescribe hormones to trans youth and adults under age 19... if they're U.S. citizens.

They claim liability issues, but this isn't the first time U.S. EOs have interfered with Canadian doctors.

Wait. What is this mysterious position? You mean they are helpful and not yelling at you because you didn’t use the correct approved colors?

A Great Pyrenees smells the fence to see if a coyote has made its way in.

Exciting Sunday… walked the fence line checking for incursions with my trusty lgd buddy Kleo. She is more interested in me than the sheep, but she hates coyotes with all the passion of the burning sun.

Actually, I’ve explained this MANY TIMES

This generation of Black ppl vote MORE than any generation since we got the right to vote

But after the 1st Black was elected, WHITE PPL began turning out in historic numbers to vote for Trump. As this graph CLEARLY shows…

The “crisis” is white people.

Gonna spend the next two years spamming every elected Dem about the concept of "damnatio memoriae." Chisel his name off every inscription. Build over the various Trump Towers like they're Nero's Golden House. Remove him from physical memory, not to forget but as a sign of disrespect to the man.

Finished patching the fence to make sure coyotes can’t eat our lambs. There were two coyote slides (apparently a term) that included fur caught on the barbed wire. They are now impassable. Let’s hope it works!

He was a legend. I’ve never seen a dog so dedicated to his flock. We actually bought him from someone on Craig’s list . He was living with goats, and they were selling out. We hit the jackpot. An amazing boy.

Kleo is our sole guardian now. We sadly lost woofie in the fall. A guardian to the end- he wouldn’t leave his spot in front of the sheep pen. We miss him a lot.

Very true! Our great our has run down coyotes. Our rescue dog would definitely be in danger. I’ve seen the mix of dogs that they use in British Columbia to deal with bears. Very large!!

The great thing about livestock guard dogs is that they are bred to work as a symbiotic network. You don’t need to kill predators. You need to keep them from sheep. When we visited sheep camps in Romania we saw a very ancient shepherding that works in the us as well.

Well… husband was putting the sheep in when the dog alerted to a coyote or several… I took the lg dog and walked the fence line. There was at least 1 that was right on the other side of the fence, but it disappeared when we arrived. Makes working with faculty seem like nothing!

Montana Supreme Court Rules Its Constitution Entirely Protects Trans Citizens In Landmark Ruling The ruling will have enormous impacts for transgender residents in the state.

1. In a landmark ruling, the Montana Supreme Court has declared that the constitution, one of the most progressive in the nation, entirely protects transgender people.

The ruling is even insulated from SCOTUS decisions, due to how state constitutions work.

I suspect once you have the ground rules down things will settle down. I’m so sorry that you were injured, but I really get not giving up on a dog. Best of luck.

I’m so sorry about this. We have a dog who has similar issues and worked with a dog behaviorist. It was super helpful as were drugs, but there is also a number of things that we have to do to assume safety. We also are committed to her and not interested in the out her down talk.

Not faculty, mind you. Students.

In a blatant 1st Amendment violation, students in the Texas Tech University system are completely banned from researching or writing anything related to sexual orientation or gender identity as part of their thesis.

This morning as I was drinking my coffee/answering emails a coyote showed up in our pasture. Not good given our 16 lambs that would be yummy coyote snacks. I put our livestock guard dog in the pasture and found the place where the coyote found its way in. Lots of fence work to do this weekend.
