Ive been noticing it more lately-There’s a pattern with certain photags and I’m not loving it

You’re walking around with a camera all day at a con and you’ve only shot people who fit that one small demographic…just feels a little..odd

Can I say something a lil controversial;

I think it’s Weird And Strange when con photographers will only photograph the “conventionally attractive”, thin, “advanced” cosplayers.

i keep seeing "fandom is ruined" posts but all you guys have to do is follow accounts ran by normal adults and start blocking anyone that even mildly annoys you

I praise all those who can pattern/plan/have all the in depth organization!

I just..like the process of figuring it out as I go, working out of order, making a mess/solving it, etc

It sometimes is frustrating, don’t get me wrong but..

I don’t lie when I say I make my best art via absolute chaos.

The one time I patterned recently I fucked up so bad I had a whole Freak Out and nearly had to scrap the whole cosplay

In depth planning doesn’t react well to my Fucky Brain

I work best with just experimenting, I have the most fun when I’m going “what if I figure this out as I go?”

I think people dont understand when I say that I build cosplays purely on vibes and little to no planning

I’m not being silly or quirky I literally don’t even pattern shit 95% of the time I just cut the fabric while humming elevator music and watching SpongeBob and go “yeah this’ll work probably!”

Me finding the perfect coat to use for Caleb vs the realization that I’d be distressing/modifying said coat and it’s 95 damn doll hairs

…like I’ll do it BUT ITLL HURT ME
I will be scouring my thrift stores again just in case but I don’t know if I’ll find what I’m looking for in my size 😭

This just came up so for anyone who doesn't know - .AI files are *a vector file type*, they are Adobe Illustrator's native file type. Files ending with .ai don't have anything to do with /that/ kind of AI 🫶 Pls don't call out an artist bc you see them working on an .ai file
