I think the killing of a character that I was looking forward to seeing more of in the very first damn episode was very dark and depressing. The more I read about it, the more it didn't seem like it had a theme that spoke to me.
It's absolutely spectacular that a certain era's fashion for men became the uniform for all genders in this particular field.
Now I'm just imagining Bernie Sanders wearing Roman senatorial robes.
Am I the only one who is Disturbed and freaked out by the self-censorship that many YouTube creators undertake when it comes to their language?
I'm in the middle of a video on cat collar and this keeps happening....
"When women report --tual assault they are often not believed..."

Dying in office because you insisted on clinging to power until the very end instead of letting a new generation of leaders rise should be seen for the shameful, egomaniacal act that it is.
I am disoriented with the amount of law breaking that just gets ignored. These should result in kidnapping charges at the minimum.

The conversation explores the opinion piece's perceived anti-union stance and its implications. Many participants express frustration with the editorial board's portrayal of unions, suggesting that the piece unfairly blames unions for the downfall of a labor secretary who was allegedly involved in misconduct unrelated to her union stance. Commenters criticize the piece for aligning with billionaire interests and for not addressing the broader issues of corruption and inappropriate behavior within the administration. There is a strong sentiment that the editorial board is biased against unions and overly sympathetic to corporate interests, with some readers considering canceling their subscriptions in response.
The hackish Bezos-channeling Washington Post editorial board this morning attacks labor unions, and as usual, the AI summary of reader response is just perfect. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...
Screenshot of a social media post by Brianna Wu (@BriannaWu) that reads: "One of my biggest hopes for the future is that we can come up with some sort of test in utero to determine if a child is going to grow up to be transsexual, and then opt them out of the gene pool. It's, I can tell you firsthand, it's a horrific way to grow up, one that no ethical person should want to inflict on a child. The reason the trans community is so unstable online is the developmental damage that we invariably get. It's like a house being built where every floor is leaning, and by the time you get to the top, the entire structure is unstable. Repairing that damage has taken me a lifetime."
Brianna Wu advocates for the extermination of trans people by engaging in eugenicist selective abortions of fetuses determined to be trans.
It's worrying because it's meant to silence dissenters.

what do these democrats have to say to people like me who voted begrudgingly for harris and still made all these criticisms? people on here always assume you didn't vote if you criticize her and then when you tell them you DID vote for her they, like, imply you didn't vote HARD enough or smth
I need to see people in power standing up to these fools until the day I die.
He's mad that Trump isn't *enough* of a Nazi, you monumentally useless buffoons
Where is the Dem Project 2026 and 2028? Day One we must have a scorched earth policy to rid America of every stain they left.
There’s a huge building-wrap ad for it next to my grocery store and today I saw a six-year-old gleefully dressed as Michael posing for social media content in front of it and my brain shut down for a second
honestly i’m really struggling with the shallow acceptance of the michael biopic. from peers even!!!! i feel insane.
I really can't say enough about this podcast. Probably one of the best philosophy focused media works out there.
This episode deals with the philosophical significance of....well ....
Better watch it or you'll regret it! #overthink #academicsky

Here's wishing every single hospital administrator who complied in advance a very wakes up in a cold anxious sweat every day until they a) reverse course and b) apologize.
Does this Cranberries song count?
I did it
I'm more interested in Odysseus mentioning Egypt and it being connected to the Late Bronze Age collapse.
My Superman tale
An expert could definitely set me straight on this.... but Roman Egypt is relatively recent. It would have been more important if it were pre Alexander Egyptian mummies.
You could seriously argue for them to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame *based on this*…! There are few - if Any - things more Rock and Roll than using your platform and your music to shine a light on injustice…!
