A rainbow unicorn

A rainbow unicorn

There’s only one of you in the world, and that’s more than good enough.
Be unapologetically yourself.

Go @katmabu.bsky.social !

I’m generally not a big fan of dropping F-bombs, but I’m getting to the point where I’ll go full potty mouth because of what this administration, ICE in specific, and MAGA in general have done.

The unaccountable behavior of our government has GOT to stop. That is wrong.

Beam me up Garabaldi, before the Mentats arrive!

Nanu-nanu, the DeathStar is about to land.

I might have left my sonic screwdriver on Trantor.

Others are welcome to join in with “interesting” takes either within or across the lines!

Shorter than I remember, but still fabulous anyway!

GitHub users, please note!

If you have ANY secrets of any kind in any GitHub repository, this setting makes your repository available to anyone who writes a sophisticated CoPilot prompt. That means that any username, password, secret name, URL, etc. is available to more people than I’d like!

You just now realized that???

Correct. The statement did come from Russia, via the Russian messenger in the US Administration.

this is like, literally the exact kind of thing that kicked off the revolutionary war. i'm trying to find a way to be goofy and say i'm exaggerating but taxing shipments in order to pay for expensive foreign wars was literally the flashpoint lol

Teams actually works remarkably well on a MacBook.

Teams works pretty well on an iPhone and an iPad too.

There was a time a few years ago that Teams was the only video conferencing app which actually promised in writing not to sample your feed to produce an AI avatar of you. That’s history now.

Why is the media is focused on the Trump War instead of on the Trump Payment? I would expect the details of the payment to be more interesting and more important to the public than Mr. Trump’s war has been.

On the other hand, the payment hasn’t killed anyone yet while the war has.

It would be better (by a lot) if Iran insisted on negotiating with Joe Biden or Hillary Clinton. That would be to Iran’s advantage because they’d be negotiating with a responsible adult.

No.

Being overpowered by a rabid mob does not stain objectors any more than it stains the victims.

The stain belongs on the perpetrators and the silent bystanders. That stain does not affect those of us who object.

I find it wild that the Senate Democrats proposed funding the TSA.

The Senate Republicans voted against paying the TSA. Not once, seven times.

This was because the Senate didn’t want to oppose the President. He wouldn’t allow the Republicans to pay the TSA.

What details am I missing?

People keep blathering something about “Gravity is a fundamental force.”

News flash: Gravity is simply graphic evidence that the Earth sucks!

Once you understand what animals perceive (sight, sound, and smell) that opens up training opportunities that you never suspected might exist!

There are still some animals that somehow learn things that I can use but I can’t explain.

Goats and mules have some very interesting abilities!

I have actually learned a lot of useful things. I perpetually train animals to “do impossible things” just because I didn’t realize those things were impossible.

Kind of like how a bumblebee flies because anyone with aeronautics training will gleefully explain why the bees can’t fly!

A telephone is kind of like a t-Rex. It is a predecessor of the HomePod. It isn’t sufficiently evolved to connect to Siri, but a telephone can call a Reference Librarian which is much better than Siri!

A printer is a person who makes PDFs the old fashioned way.

I’m just being nosy now, but what did the app show you? Did you learn anything useful from the app?

Do the goats still prefer the red bucket? Do they at least get enough to drink now?

I’m not sure why I’m suddenly so interested in your goats, but for some reason I am!

The ACA doesn’t make money fast enough for his friends. He doesn’t see any downside, so “put the pedal to the metal“ and generate corporate profits!!!

He considers the public and veterans to be stupid unless he’s actually addressing them.

I need a 3d color printer the size of a telephone booth. I know how old the phrase “telephone booth” makes me sound, and I’ll wait while the under 30 crowd searches the web for a reference.

I want to print three or more of myself. This universe probably won’t stand that strain, but so be it!

I had known that dogs saw differently than people do for years. After a discussion with @sqlgene.com and another person I talked with friends at the veterinary school at Iowa State and they directed me to the app. It is very informative to see things as your dog sees those things!

At one point Fox executives testified UNDER OATH that Fox was entertainment, not news.

Billionaires now own CNN, Fox, and most of ABC/Disney. They’ve owned the WSJ for years, so their reporting is suspect at best.

I suspect that small independent news sources will become the only reliable news.

I compare reporting from non-United States sources with US sources.

The US sources usually favor viewpoints of their owners, which in the case of NPR the owners are the public.

MS-Now seems to match BBC, CBC, etc. pretty closely.

The Billionaire owned sources are iffy at best

Dog Vision Simulator App - App Store Download Dog Vision Simulator by jack weldon on the App Store. See screenshots, ratings and reviews, user tips, and more apps like Dog Vision Simulator.

I have limited experience with goats, but they usually have distinct preferences built on location and temperature.

The blue bucket appears blue and the red bucket appears grey to a goat. That might make the water easier to see.

I’d try a “dog vision” app like apps.apple.com/app/id675387...
