The Mazda because it will be newer, with far less kilometres, be cheaper to insure, a lot cheaper to buy tyres for and to repair if damaged.

This does not detract from the fact the BMW is still the better car

The tiny battery 🪫 will wear out and need replaced but seems to last surprisingly well and when it does need replaced it won’t be anything like as bad as the issues that come with CVT and 8 speed automatic gearboxes ⚙️
Fuel economy is now much better with the latest generation of E-power

More Talk Of Green Hydrogen And Electrofuels Surfaces In Europe A new green hydrogen proposal calls for all-in-one, modular e-fuels facilities to leverage green hydrogen for military fuels in Europe.

Europes militaries need green hydrogen tech although they’ll probably forget about it if/when things calm down in the Persian Gulf.

This doesn’t change the fact that Green hydrogen is uncompetitive compared to other renewable energy for many applications.

Steel- or use Electric furnaces?
Oil refining- Do you need to ask?
Chemicals- One industry that needs green Hydrogen

and

Military- Doesn’t use green hydrogen, omitted from country co2 footprint but will need lots of it in future when oil and gas are controlled by hostile powers.

More the case that the Indian economy is experiencing a downturn due to over reliance on imported fuel from the gulf states. UK is coping better due to wind and solar power although uk could still be doing better.

It’s difficult to record charcoal use in cooking and wood burning for heating but let’s hope fossil fuel use really is declining

Increasing Irish 🇮🇪 Beef 🥩 exports to Europe 🇪🇺 when European beef consumption is declining 📉

It’s not the best economic model Ireland are following.

Subsidies to farmers only delay the inevitable.

It’s at least a year since I tried creating ai pictures and that time after 10 min I gave up annoyed by the outcomes.

I think I’ll give up on this attempt now too. It’s not as bad as last time but still frustrating and annoying

I thought that classical music was played in public locations to set a calm agreeable tone to subtly encourage polite behaviour?
An improvement over those dog whistle devices that “only teenagers can hear” yet in my experience wake up sleeping babies and make them cry.

Modern LiFePo4 batteries are safer than older NMC and NiCad so older Energy stores are upgrading to LiFePo4.
With 10,000 times the batteries of an EV grid storage presents some risks that aren’t relevant to EVs which are generally pretty safe.
The next generation of batteries will be safer still.

Solid state batteries are happening, Honda, Toyota, BYD and other Chinese manufacturers…

Europe & USA have their startups but with such high development costs & the huge potential profits there’s quite a game going on both to attract and deter investors

The options:

Build Lithium battery storage now & accept fire risk.

Start building pumped hydro, projects take several years.

Wait for sodium & solid state battery tech, it seems only 2 to 3 years away.

Wind & solar are mature technologies now. Given an appropriate location there’s no reason not to build.

Batteries - We’re still waiting on solid state & sodium tech to address cost & explosive risk.

Approved?
UK, although not discussed, also has a lot of battery storage approved?
I’d guess we are waiting for the next breakthrough in battery storage before actually building?
Only Germany in Europe has much Battery storage. Scandinavia seems to be progressing well without it.
