Anyway, don’t do this. If you want to support women in comics, consider:
-buying our work
-checking out our work from libraries
-signal boosting
-hiring us for paying jobs
-using good databases to search for historically excluded folks
-asking for inclusion at cons, awards, best ofs, etc

Apparently he’s suuuuch a comics pro that he didnt realize that MariNaomi already made consensual databases for creators of color, queer creators, and creators with disabilities (not tagging bc I don’t want to loop their @ into something negative, but check out their work! It’s so good.)

He claims to be an ally and acts as though he speaks for everyone listed and I cannot express HOW MUCH THIS IS THE WRONG WAY TO SUPPORT WOMEN. It’s so creepy, it’s so invasive, and it was created before permission was given. And—once again—no one ASKED HIM TO DO THIS.

Some dude that has zero internet presence and is, as far as I can tell so far, unknown to all of us made a Google site listing women who work in comics with pictures, contact info, legal names, and bios *without anyone’s permission* under the guise of “”helping women get more work.””

Anyway this dream has haunted me for years so I decided to make a crappy image of what it looked like hope you enjoy

At the end, in perfect sync, the bike pops a very slow wheelie as animatronic David turns around with his hand up.

“Woah, there! You’re getting to the best part,” the animatronic turns as if to escort us out. “Now you get to go out into the world knowing me better than, heh, just about anyone.”

Riders mounted stationary bikes on a track and went through a full from birth to present day retrospective of David’s life—childhood, grade school videos, birthday pictures, outfits, everything.

It was like a 3 hour long ride.

In this dream, i was hired to go to the grand opening of a Buffy theme park and write a comic about it.

The only ride that was open was called The David Boreanaz Experience and it was a GIANT DAVID BOREANAZ HEAD SUNK INTO THE GROUND AND HIS MOUTH WAS THE RIDE OPENING.

At the height of my Buffy writing stress, I had a very intense weird dream 🧵

I don’t *want* to kill them with kindness I want to kill them with scorpion bombs like the stronghold of Hatra used to fight off the Romans at the end of the second century 😌
