For my own safety & wellbeing, I’m back using Twitter but on a private account only. This’ll be temporary (a situation needs resolving first), but for the time being I want to have a private space where only people I have approved can see what I say.

You have had every opportunity to stop. You should have stopped when I politely asked you to. You continued and I have evidence of you encouraging the individual with the caution for the same behaviour. If your career isn’t toast, it will be. And a caution may very well be heading your way too.

You have no defence. I have a timeline of screenies of yours and my own posts, which clearly show you’re the problem. My posts are critical & sometimes mocking, but are far from abusive/criminal, yet yours have been disproportionate, disgusting & criminal (someone had already had a caution for this)

(Lots of people over the last year or so who have witnessed his disgusting behaviour have urged me to just report him, so I wanted to share why I have not done so yet and the steps I’m taking to promote patient safety while simultaneously considering my own.)

Someone like that has absolutely NO business being around patients. Therefore, if he is not struck off, I will bite the bullet, accept the risk that my identity could be leaked to him (even though I’ve been told I can be anonymous) and submit my report. For the sake of patients - especially women.

However, if he is not struck off, I cannot ignore how utterly deplorable it is that a medical doctor attacked me for a GU health condition, posted memes about my genitals, nicknamed me “old blistered cunt”, and spread rumours that I have herpes to >200k people (contributing to STI stigma too).

I shared info about my GU health anonymously. Given the things he has already posted about it, I would not feel safe if he connected my health and my identity. There is no doubt in my mind that he would exploit and abuse that info. So if he’s to be struck off in the coming weeks, why risk it?

I know people who have had their identity leaked by registering bodies to the registrant the complaint has been made against, despite being assured they would remain anonymous, which is why I have not yet submitted mine.
