Echeveria

Echeveria

Echeveria propagation method by plucking the leaves ensuring the base is intact, then threading a wire or thread through the top of the leaves so that they can hang in a day place.
Leave alone until roots and pups start to form.
In my case this took over a year, 19 months to be exact.

Echeveria pups transplanted into perlite, in a clear container with a transparent lid. Sprayed lightly with water to create humidity.

Bought my Echeveria in May ‘24.
Trialed the method of plucking and hanging to produce new pups.
19 months of neglect later and I have a fair batch of tiny viable pups now in perlite and in a makeshift greenhouse.
Send thoughts and prayers these grow beautifully 🌿

Thank you! It’s a chore trying to keep half of them alive at this time of year though 😬

I saw this trick once to get succulents to propagate by hanging them on string.
Here’s to praying my Echeveria produces dozens of new pups! 💜
