A representative survey presented by @dnvglr.bsky.social shows that the Swiss audience is rather critical towards the use of AI in journalism, but - similar to findings by @reutersinstitute.bsky.social - this is moderated by general attitudes towards AI. #ica2025
Next up: @cporlezza.bsky.social presenting a study with @lauraamigo.bsky.social on how AI might change journalistic authority, emphasizing the importance of establishing common standards to avoid the „headless chicken syndrome“. #ica2025
Weili Wang, Xi‘an Jaotong & John Downey present an international comparison of utopian and dystopian media narratives around generative AI, showing that these narratives very much depend on the context, being much more positive in China and India as compref to the UK and USA. #ica2025 #journalism
Also, AI may lead to an erosion of values: People who use AI believe public values to be less important than thos who do not use AI (or use it less). #SGKM2025
