"Alice Ate the Rabbit" is complete, at 53k words, and is now on the way to my editor. This could be the one she refuses though. We'll see.

My latest Vampire thing is approaching novel length. The trick will be finding readers that want to read more than a few pages of this hot mess. lol.

"This was a thoroughly researched thriller with a great plot, interesting characters and a great, often humorous, style. Thoroughly recommended!"

Janna Ruth Urban Fantasy Across Europe - Explore books full of supernatural action, local folklore, and European flavour.

It's DONE! After 4 days of extreme data entry (and two weeks after I sort of blew up my website), my sales store is live 🥳

This has been on my to-do-list since January 2024 (!), so you can imagine the relief and pride I'm feeling right now. It's not optimised yet, but it's functioning. 🥰

so now I'm reviewing all the sex scenes in this latest abomination to make sure they're each unique. I think the English language needs more words for stuff. :-(

Any writers care to offer their opinion on A vs B?

Some very old skull portraits, all inspired from my future serial novel, Cursed. Cursed was the first story I ever wrote besides silly fanfiction as a child. Khadrim, Dimitrius, Gyakutenno, and Algera.

A paper collage style book cover featuring a raven cut from creased paper and taped onto an old postcard with a blue sky and cream clouds. The postcard is stacked on cards and letters covered with handwriting. Written on the masking tape across the raven is "WASTELAND HEART". On the postcard is "EDGE OF THE WORLD BOOK 1" and "AL HESS."

He'll spin it. And his followers will buy whatever he says. They handed in their critical thinking abilities a while back.

any writers hanging about at the moment?
There's a word to describe the act of apologizing at length. Like going overboard with it. I've got a character that is really sorry about hurting someone and is kind of throwing themselves at the victims feet. There's a word for it, I'm sure... help!

Its coming along nicely. 30k words done. And it's gotten weird (as usual). "Alice Ate the Rabbit" is a new take on the Vampire genre. Will be self published in a month or so. looking for beta readers, and possibly an amateur narrator. Tx

Any opinions on this book cover?

About 3k words added to the Vampire story today. A daily record for me. Including an action scene too (I suck at writing those). So...yay.
Anyone else writing vampires at the moment?

REVIEW- The descriptions of the haunted house and the surrounding area create an eerie backdrop for the unfolding events. This book is a compelling read for those who enjoy Gothic tales with a touch of the supernatural.

#REVIEW - A near-death experience sparks Phil’s sixth sense, connecting him spiritually to the entity in his house. What transpires for Phil to get to the bottom of Nancy’s gruesome murder becomes a nail-biting read from one page to the next. #writerslift #hautedhouse #ghoststory

All seven of my published books are free on KindleUnlimited

The first three and seventh are raw and gritty memoirs. My life told as a series of funny stories.

I’ve also written three novels. A tough survival story and two dark comedy thrillers.

writing ever line of this vampire story is a struggle at the moment. trying to bring two lesbians together in a whirlwind romance. I really have no idea how they'd hook up in real life, let alone one of them being a vampire. What the hell am I doing? help?

Nice. at first glance I got Doc Martin vibes, ie. his fishing village in Cornwall. But then saw you're in Scotland. lol. About as far from Cornwall as you can get in the UK.
