Fred again.. & Thomas Bangalter (USB002, Alexandra Palace, London 27 February 2026) YouTube video by Fred again . .

This DJ set by Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk) and Fred Again is *sublime* and I can already tell it’s going to be one of my most listened in 2026.

Enjoy it (and check the tracklist and notes from Fred Again in the comments because they make the video even better)

A $499 MacBook Neo with the brains of a couple-year-old iPhone can run Xcode, Photoshop, Blender, Terminal, and pretty much everything else you can think of, yet your $3,200 iPad Pro, with a desktop-class chip, cannot 😑

Interesting, I’m at 149 charge cycles, 100% health on my Air which I’ve had since launch (I guess not exactly apples to apples). Avoiding constantly topping it up on my wireless charger this time as it seemed to destroy my 16 Pro, but otherwise just charging from 20% to 100%-ish usually

It's not a new concern, but good to be reminded that your entire digital life can be annihilated in an instant with no recourse

Roadmap for improving the type checker Roadmap for improving the type checker In the past, we've released various "manifestos" and "roadmaps" to discuss planned improvements to the language. This post is also a roadmap of sorts, but instead, the focus is on the implementation rather than user-visible language changes (however, I will briefly mention a few potential language changes at the very end). Specifically, I'm going to talk about some work we are doing to improve expression type checking in the Swift compiler. This includes c...

Worth considering @pointfree.co’s SQLiteData (github.com/pointfreeco/...) as a very nice GRDB-based alternative to SwiftData, with CloudKit sync and excellent docs. Too many gotchas and sharp edges with SwiftData
