Aspire 9.4 is out with lots of new features! The new interaction service looks really nice π€© Also being able to add the dashboard to Docker Compose environments looks promising for local observability on edge.

You talked so much about the hard feedback you received after your talk that I expected a slip-up or something - but this was an fantastic talk! ππ»
I think people just roll with the default version in the starter app in VS. The old version indicator in the aspire dashboard will change things I guess
π₯ Great!
Ah, ok. Thanks π
Currently in development phase so I have not started to look at deployment yet, so I may have misunderstood something.
I can elaborate. This is an app that will be running locally (on-prem) on an edge unit communicating with some IoT devices. I was of the perception that the Aspire dashboard also could run locally for the users that can reach the edge server, making it easier to look at logs etc.
Locally, so they will have access. Main point with mentioning non-technical was more of telling you that they are not developers. More of a local admin which will monitor the application, and reach out if something is wrong etc.
So letβs say something is deployed on edge, and some kind of nom-technical user is supposed to input some kind of configuration it can be achieved via this user interface?
Is it possible to run/integrate Drasi using Aspire.NET? π€ If so - something for AspiriFriday @davidfowl.com ?
@scott.hanselman.com Azure costs have grown with inflation and service demand, but the $50/month credit for Visual Studio pro subs hasnβt changed in years. Any chance itβs time to revisit that number? For the dev community β€οΈ π

@merill.net Someone on here that know this feature and possibly can assist? Can't find much in the docs.
App registration is created successfully. When trying to go through the steps one more, and then selecting the created app registration the validation fails.
Seems to be issues with creating custom extensions in Entra External ID at the moment. Anyone know what's up? Validation passes, so I guess it's something internal #microsoft #entra
Seems to be browser related. Works fine in edge, but not in Firefox.
Testing out the new Aspire 9.3, but chatting with the copilot gives my anti forgery token issues when I try to send messages. Clicking the suggestions works. Known bug? @davidfowl.com
Nice tool for analyzing your SQL scripts, detecting anti patterns.

Great work! Is it likely this will end up as a managed Azure service as well?
Getting ready to start my first Aspire.NET project for a customer and what a great timing with lots of very important new features in 9.2. Great work by @davidfowl.com and the team ππ»
Great thoughts and reflections from @scott.hanselman.com.
We need to continue reading and writing original content, and teach our kids the importance of critical thinking. AI should be a tool for exploring ideas and creativity, not for replacing our thoughts and effort.

Use Event Grid to extend functionality in Azure by reacting to resource events.
Enhancing observability by monitoring config changes and highlighting them in App Insights is one of the things that are possible with the power of the Event Grid.

Spent a couple of days last week battling with some cert issues in .NET 9. Seems like there is a bug in the loader.
WSL with only .NET 8 installed works as expected.
