Even though he was from Redcar in the North East of England I had never heard of him.

Correct - I had never heard of him even though he was from the North East . Apparently he was from Redcar in Cleveland. I found an article about him which said he reffed an FA Cup Semi-Final in 1966 and died in 2001 aged 71.
Here are the details of the match he refereed - Arsenal V Coventry in December 1971

I did, yes!
The referee is Pat Partridge.
The referee is Pat Partridge.
The #referee is Pat Partridge from County Durham.
You might be correct.
Apparently Dave Mackay hated that photo, he thought it portrayed him as a bully, whereas he knew Bremner had deliberately targeted his leg which he had just got over breaking. Bremner of course had a reputation for being a nasty peice of work and being a bully.
Eamon is correct it is Ray Chadwick - he was a Football League ref from 1975 until 1983. His final match before retirement was the infamous Derby V Fulham match which wasn't completed due to repeated pitch invasions by Derby fans celebrating their survival in Division 2.
Another famous photo with the referee nearby!
The Republicans dont want to feed all of their citizens so Donald Trump can make his scurrilous lies that hungry people eat cats and dogs in one of the Northern states and try to blame it on the Democrats.
Correct!
The Tories do!

England's top referee of his era.
I thought it might have been an error, he's from Carlisle about 70 miles or so from where I'm from in the North East of England so I would have heard in refereeing circles had anything happened to him. He retired in 1987 (he retired at 48 & didn't get an extension) so will be around 86 now.
I didnt know Colin Seel had passed away, when did that happen?
I would imagine a few families of refs from that era who have passed away would get in touch with you asking if you have photos of them. Its always nice to be able to help people in times like that.
A rare coloured photo from that era!
It is Brian Daniels from Rainham, Essex.
He had a very good career, getting plenty of first division matches and London derbies. In his final season (1983) he refereed the FA Trophy Final. He was a ref I never saw at Newcastle due to the geographical restrictions introduced by the Football League in that era.
Here is a one of him towards the end of his career in 1980 when he was the 4th Official in the League Cup Final refereed by David Richardson.
Correct.
Here is another 3 screenshots from the same game, one the ref is greeting the captains Ron Harris & Martin Peters and the others are of Martin Chivers & Peter Osgood.

Not only is he a scumbag he's a hypocrite who expected the police to come to his aid if he needed them or expected the NHS to care for him before he buggered off to Singapore. He's utterly vile.
