But here’s the math:
Working Texans (~$30k income)
pay about 12.5% in state and local taxes.
Millionaires?
Under 3%.
That’s not low taxes.
Texas deserves an economy that works for working people — and that starts with voting all the way down the ballot.

I’ve gotten a few people that have reached out now who are voting in their first primary.

Just as a general PSA. It is NORMAL and LEGAL for them to ask you “Democrat or Republican” and then provide said ballot.

Dems absolutely can and have failed but without folks voting in primaries, local elections, and midterms we're screwed and stuck with centrists. To move left we need our progressives to vote, and not just in the Presidential race. This is going to take more than one cycle to fix.

"Voting your morals" is real damn easy when you sit in middle class comfort knowing your lily white ass isn't on the line. I will always vote for less harm to those on the margins.

Then vote in the primaries, then the mid-terms then the primaries for the general then the general. Literally that's how it works. Tah duh! That's literally the least you can do to move the Dems left. Or whine on the interwebs and see how effective that is, whatever.

Something I found that works to give dogs more confidence is to let them win games. Things like tug of war or tag lol. Also give lots of pettins for bravery.
