Help please!
Does anyone know any wheelchair-taxi numbers in Belfast? I have one but was hoping for a wee collection!
And does anyone have any personal recommendations for care homes in and around-ish Belfast? Can travel a bit for a really good one.
Thank you!

To cheer dad up, I let him take me for dinner. Cos I'm good like that 🐷
He's been craving lasagne for ages so
Bless Dad. He had another hospital appointment on Monday and finally caught up to what I heard at last Monday's appointment: the treatment hasn't helped and he's not got long left
Shit times ahead lads 😭
Can anyone recommend a good general solicitor(s) in Belfast please? I am firing mine 🤣
Ah thanks. Us too!
If you go and want any info, feel free to DM me! Though be warned - 4 days was not enough!!
Took dad to Coco for Sunday lunch
To start: of course he had the salt n chilli squid 🤣 I had a lobster pasta. They were both delicious 🐷
The roast was fantastic - huge slab of beef!
Obviously, he finished with the creme brulé
Great weather, great food, great people, great craic. And champagne on a Tuesday lunchtime cos sure, what else would I have been doing?! 🥂
And then we had dinner in the wee town of Sainte-Enimie which was picture postcard pretty n buzzing for Bastille Day
We spent one day kayaking (another one of my favourite things to do!) 13km through the Gorges du Tarn which was fucking stunning 😍
It also has 3 museums/art galleries so we got a wee culture fix and I got to see some local old things (ye know how I love old things!)
The town is cute as a button! It has a population of only c.25k people and yet had 1 Michelin star restaurant, 2 Michelin recommended restaurants, and a million others! We feasted like queens and had our fill of cheese n wine 🐷
Last wknd I was supposed to be on my first Wild Women of the Woods weekend this year, camping n canoeing in Co Kilkenny, but it got cancelled 😭 So instead, 6 of us went on tour to Rodez, France cos we found cheap flights 🎉 No, we'd never heard of it either! Come with!
👏IT👏WAS👏GLORIOUS👏
BUT LOOK AT THAT SKY LADS! FUCKING BEUT
It's a poor state of affairs when you can't expect to get a taxi!
Also, the M&S in Grand Central is WILDLY overpriced. I found one regular item of mine that is £1 more than normal stores!!
Honestly, the cost of things nowadays!
Fucking wee olde grumpus this morning 🤣
I'm getting an 8.30 bus from Grand Central. But there's no metro buses until 8.30 cos of Sunday service. Uber wanted £27!! To go from Ormeau to town!! I managed to get a Fonacab for £10 after a few mins, but having to allow time for a 40 min walk in case I couldn't, I'm SO EARLY
Sunday fry n pints with this stranger. He moved to north Belfast - may as well have been Timbuktu! I haven't seen him all year!! He got AI to mimic me and I don't know how to feel about it 🤣😭
Alanis Morissette was fucking phenomenal! She sounded INCREDIBLE. And sing-shouting in unison with so many other people was quite emotional ♥️ Can't wait for the TikTok videos cos I was too busy for taking pics 🙈
I found some people to go with! Seeing as no-one i knew wanted to go 😭
Justin Timberlake last night was a GREAT gig. He sounded fantastic, he did all his old moves n hits, and his band were BLOODY BRILLIANT. I love a bit of brass so I do! A fabulous time was had 💃
And then I managed to get back to Belfast, have a 5 minute change, and get out the door again for a TERRIBLE dance show at the MAC - we left at the interval and went for a drink at the Duke of York to laugh it off 🤣
Summer solstice P2:
A wee hike from Dunseverick Harbour to Giant's Causeway, a wee dip in Dunseverick's pools, n a delicious feed with the Wild Women of the Woods. All the weather in one day!
Playing more catch up...
My favourite day of the year: summer solstice ☀️♥️
Chips n champagne (n a bucket of Pimm's of course!) on Ballyholme beach with a wee swim n a wee fire with truly wonderful people
I am behind in my social media updates. How will I ever remember that I did something?!
Anyway, Beyond the Pale was great craic💃🤣🐷 even if the weather was mixed. This was the year of the chickpea curry. Tho 2 festivals 2 wknds on the trot is too much for me at this age 👵
Me walking out the gym past the pubs at 7pm on a Friday night. AGAIN. Who is this?!
Walking down the Ormeau at 11pm after a Charlie XCX gig was something🙈 Good luck to youse all🤣
N thanks to Hugh for letting me queue jump at the Spar for my milk🙏
Also, I thought my new work ones were a bit dull. Turns out they are ABSOLUTE HALLIONS♥️ in the best way obvs🥂
Went for Thai with Dad, and shared a bottle of wine cos he hadn't drunk in ages and I'm selfless like that 🥂
For once, we didn't share our mains cos Juan and I are not octopus fans!
German Victoria's octopus
My aubergine
Juan's orzotto
And of course we shared the cheese plate and all the desserts 🐷
Final night's dinner at Salut Bistro
To start:
- Oysters
- Sardines on brioche
- Spicy salmon tartare
- Vitello tonnato (cold thin veal slices w a creamy tuna sauce - it was better than it sounds!)
Just found the travel bank card I use for foreign cash, which I thought I'd lost, as I board my flight home 🤣
I hate only having a British passport 😭
