When I was at Tokyo Game Market, I saw this board game with its stunning vaporwave visuals and I got it but turns out it didn’t have English rules. Thankfully it is language-independent so I got round to translating it. And I finally finished it!

Ah those have been fine so far. I normally get my games from booth.pm, conventions or Yellowsubmarine. I am lucky I get to live in Japan, I know Japanese games are hard to find abroad. I get a sense though that in the coming years a lot more Japanese games will be picked up by publishers abroad.

Yeah it was around 55$ 🥲 i don’t think the store was malicious, just unlucky with their stock. They look perfectly legit on the outside. I just have to be more mindful next time, especially with big popular titles

I didn’t know bootleg board games exist 😓 I bought a copy of TTR & Sky Team. When I opened them TTR’s cards had very poor print quality and Sky Team’s dice were red instead of orange. I went online to check maybe I bought an older version, but no, turns out they’re bootleg. This is so disappointing…
